    In the minors

First off, Brad Hennessey was sent back down to Fresno and Jeremy Accardo was called up from AA Norwich. He was 1-0 with a .93 ERA and four saves. He also has 15 strikeouts in 9.2 innings. Also in AA Norwich, Merkin Valdez is 1-0 with a 2.70 ERA through 23.1 innings pitched. Valdez has 21 strikeouts but also has 11 walks. Aardsma is 3-1 with a 1.80 ERA throuhg 20 innings. Chris Begg is 1-2 with a 1.90 ERA with 15 strikeouts through 23.1 innings. No one is standing out with the bats so I will skip it.

In AAA Fresno, Matt Cain is 3-0 with a 1.75 ERA and 29 strikeouts through 25.2 IP. Kevin Corriea has 3 saves with a 3.97 ERA. Foppert is 1-0 with a 3.46 ERA through 13 IP. Why Accardo instead of Floppert? Ugh.

    Or Corriea even.

I just don't understand the Giants...

Since when have the Giants been wrong in this department? The past three seasons our minor leaguers have bailed us out. 2003 it was Jerome Williams, 2004 it was Hennessey and Lowry, and this year it has been Ellison, Neikro and Hennessey once again. This is why Sabean is one of the best GM's in the game.

And to answer your question Wilton, other teams have seen Corriea and Foppert.

Bleh, just because they've seen them, doesn't mean this guy is going to be any better.

No it doesn't and no one said it would, but it couldn't hurt. They want to see what this kid can do. Foppert will come up when a starter goes down. Corriea will certainly show his face sometime during the season. Aardsma is still working on his offspeed pitches and isn't ready yet.

And Neikro just hit his 4th homer. We have nothing but production from our first base position

not to mention he's invested in Jerome Williams, Cain, Foppert and Aardsma all on the same team.
