    Giants@L.A.

SF: LHP Noah Lowry (5-7, 4.21 ERA)
Lowry was magnificent in his last outing, giving up only one run over nine innings, but he didn't get a decision in the club's 2-1, extra-inning defeat to Colorado. He struck out six batters and walked two, yet the Giants didn't provide much support during his 121-pitch effort.

LAD: LHP Mark Hendrickson (5-12, 4.13 ERA)
Hendrickson finally got his first Dodgers win in his last start in Florida, although it took a six-run inning by his offense, because he left the game trailing and was lifted for a pinch-hitter during the rally. Nonetheless, he gave Los Angeles a quality start and kept the game close enough for his teammates to pull it out.

    Player to watch
Omar Vizquel upped his hitting streak to nine games on Wednesday.
Huge series for the Giants here. A series win would boost some confidence after beating the ottest team in baseball. Giants have to start doing the little things if they want a chance to compete in October.

Saito with a spoon! The Giants tied the game twice and almost a third time.

Giants lose the first two and lose critical ground in the West. I cannot see this team goingon a run at anytime and it might be time to look forward to 2007. Schmidt's on the mound so tonight needs to be the night the Giants turn things around.

Giants get Swept!!!!!!!!! Beautifully pitched games by both sides but the Giants had a chance in the 9th to go ahead. With the leadoff man aboard, Vizcaino comes in to bunt. He takes a perfect pitch to bunt then misses on a curve ball. With two strikes he bunts it right back to Tomko and they get the lead runner at second. Piss poor execution again and the Giants lose another one. These are supposed top be veterans and they cannot do the simplest tasks.
