Well it's 2-0 Giants...........Good start to the game.:D
Lowry gets out of the little jam.........bottom 2nd.........2-0 Giants
Extremely sloppy game so far from both sides. Both the Cards and Giants had bases loaded and no outs and failed to score. Lowry hasn't looked good but Vizquel is 3-3 right now. 4-3 Giants in the 5th!
4-3 Giants top opf 6.
We're hangin' in there! :)
Well it's not looking good.............Taguchi just hit a bomb.......10-4 Cards:angry:
We lost..................10-4 ..................rec- 24-23
Lowry, Giants worn out by Cards
Pair of early leads don't hold up in rubber game of series
SAN FRANCISCO -- The Giants coughed up a pair of two-run leads and ended up losing, 10-4, on Wednesday for their second straight loss against the Cardinals at AT&T Park.
Giants starter Noah Lowry managed to get out of a few tricky situations, but lost the lead for good in the sixth, and the Giants never recovered.
Lowry (1-2) lasted six innings and gave up five runs -- three earned -- on 10 hits.
The Giants got it going in the first when Randy Winn opened with a single to left and Omar Vizquel followed with a triple to the right-field corner. Mark Sweeney hit a double to left field that scored Vizquel from third to put the Giants up, 2-0.
Lowry got into trouble in the second and third innings when he loaded the bases each time with no outs. In the second, he got Yadier Molina to ground into a 5-4-3 double play that scored Scott Rolen from third. So Taguchi then popped out to first to end the second.
In the third, after giving up a pinch-hit triple to Tuesday's starter, Jason Marquis, and an RBI single to David Eckstein, Lowry loaded the bases again. But again, Lowry got out of it by getting Rolen to hit a short fly to center, and Juan Encarnacion grounded to Feliz, who tagged third and threw to first to complete the double play.
Lowry's first career error cost him a chance at winning the game. After the error it ws all over. These things will happen.I feel his next start will be an important start for him and the Giants. Lets all hope he does well.
Yep his next start will be in Florida.
Well anyway the Cards are gone. Thank God. They are a great Team!
Shit.
In retrospect the Cards beat the hell out of us. :(
Yes but get a real 1B and a real Bull pen and maybe things would be different. I think so!
Bull pen? What's that? Something new? Pretty disappointing I'd say.
Its a new concept to Alou!
Mark Sweeney got hurt by that coment..... :cry:Quote:
