    I don't like Lance Niekro. He can't hit. To see him at times in the number three slot makes me want to puke.

    Well it's true. The guy can't use the bat and IMO he's a liability at the plate period.

    That's why we have Sweeney, to help Niekro out. Snow would fill in defensively but we need offense. If we got a first baseman, I would hope it would be someone with more offensive capabilities. As much as I love Snow, we simply don't need him.

    Snow has the ability to get more timely hits than Niekro. It is true he has little power but RBI's would help until a power hitting firstbaseman comes along! We need help now for this team (this year) and do not have time to groom Niekro. By next year it will be too late. JMO
