714 and 715 will come but after that I just do not know!

That's what I'm sayin'. Would it really totally surprise you if Bonds hung 'em up after the All-star game for example? Wouldn't surprise me.Originally Posted by Bear

I doubt it. He's pressing now. He wants desperately to get that HR.
Like DK said somewhere, he's swinging at pitches he would never swing at had this record not been on the line. He might have walked 4 times last night.
I agree but Bonds said if he feels he is hurting the team he will walk away.
Well he is hurting the team.
That among other reasons is why I think he's gonna call it a day. Maybe it won't be until the end of the season but I am really starting to wonder about that.Originally Posted by Bear
I put myself in his place and say "screw it...it's just not worth it". Just think of all the things on this guys mind. The HR record. The steroids investigation. The IRS audits. The Grand Jury crap. The media. The fans. The booing. Sheese. That is enough to make anybody break.
Plus, add his ME attitude to the mix and I think he is out of here sooner rather than later!!! WEEKS!! JMO
Dammitt !!!!! He did it !!!!!

he struck out in his 2nd AB at least...as long as he doesn't break it against my boys I'll be happy.
There was never a question from the beginning of this year and I do not believe ther is a question about 715. After that who knows! JMO
FINALLY.....
I didn't get to see it but I happened to be listening to ESPN and hearD it live. Got kind of a shiver. It was pretty dramatic.
I really wish he'd break the record today and we can return to some sort of normalcy.
Lets hope 715 is not far behind!!!
Yeah I know -- one otta ten. But that's cool. Props on calling the HR today!Originally Posted by Bear
