    Giants Win!

The Giants bats came alive and Schmidt pitched another beauty, his third in a row. Jason also had his second straight CG. He gave up just five hits and no walks over the nine. Neikro and Winn both homered. Niekro was 2-4 with 3 RBI and Winn was 3-4 with 1 RBI. Matheny joined in as well going 3-4 with 2 RBI. Matheny has been hitting well the past week. Finley went 2-4 including his league leading 6th triple, and he's not even a full-timer! Bonds went 1-4 but has some very good swings and was even robbed by Juan Pierre of #714!

Overall is was a good win as the Rockies and Arizona both lost. Schmidt is showing signs of dominance again and with Lowry coming back, that gives a good 1-2 combo. The bats needed some life and they got it. Niekro needed a game like this to get his head out of his ass. The same goes for Winn. Giants have Zambrano tomorrow and the way Barry is swinging, we might see #714 tomorrow night!

Schmidt is the only pitcher who is getting the job done. Two CG in a row is a rarity in this age of baseball but it was a breath of fresh air. Now Alou will probably skip a start with Jason so he can rest.

The next few games are ones a Giants fan would definitely want to be at to see history made. Bonds should pass Ruth this week.

Schmidt only threw 24 out of 95 pitches for a ball!!! Good shit right there!

Giants lsoe as Matt Cain is just flat out awful! Seven earned runs in only 5 1/3 innings is just shit! They have suggested either sending him down to AAA or to the bullpen and let Hennessey start. I rather see Cain get his innings in AAA. He cannot continue to get knocked around start after start. The only good news I can find after last night is that Finley continues to hit the ball well.
