Giants lose a heartbreaker and are now just one game above .500

    Here is some good news:
Bonds has hit three homers in a week.
Alou is red hot and becoming a RBI machine.
Giants are still paying good defense
The Giants have Schmidt going against Batista on Friday to start off a a five game series against our own divsion.

The bad news is that watching our team it looks like they are about what they are -- a .500 team. I have/had higher expectations and I suppose it can all still turn around but our pitching is now doing well. The hitting hasn't been doing all that well either (hey waht else is there?) but mainly the pitching. The team sadly has .500 wtitten all over them. Gotta keep the faith though...

    GO GIANTS!!!!

We are still on top of the divison so of course we can stay positive. Durham will be back in the lineup not that he was doing great but I like him hitting third more than Niekro. Sweeney should be back as well to spell Niekro. Lowry is coming back soon and someone will be going back to AAA (Accardo). Hopefully we can have a solid rotation for a while with Schmidt, MOrris, Lowry, Cain and Wright. Hennessey may have to be trade bait to help this bullpen out someday.
