    I was listening

to the Giants game on the radio early last week and John Miller the Giants announcer said this about Robb Nen

he said basically Nen gave up his career for giving the Giants a chance to win the World Series in 02, he played through injuries that whole year. I was only 19 at that time, but I do not recall Nen playing through injuries. If thats true than I have gained allot of respect for Nen!

I believe he had an option to do something about the injuries in 2002, but decided to stay with the team and hopefully win a World Series.

Nen pitched his heart out and sadly his arm out too. He had nothing left in that WS but went out and did it to bring the first ring to SF. He had multiple surgeries to make a comeback but did not. Nen is the alltime leader in saves for the Giants and you may see him as a bullpen coach some day for the Giants.
