Giants Open Important 3 Game Series With The Dodgers!

The Giants open a three game series tonight 4/14 with the L.A. Dodgers.

    Wright @ Penny
    1-0, 5.14 2-0, 1.50

As any Giant fan knows this is a very important Series! I can only hope Manager Alou is up to it!

    The hated Dodgers.

Barry Bonds loves to hit home runs in Dodger Stadium. Hopefully tonight he breaks out of his slump.

One can only hope! This will be a very hard series for Bonds, with the L.A. fans.

You can belive that. They will be brutal. You know as well as I do that the Giants/Dodgers rivalry is one of the most fierce battles in MLB. They truly hate each other and same goes for the fans. When I went to Dodger stadium a few years ago, as I mentioned, the fans were not happy to see the three of us in full Giants' gear...especially since we won the games. One game was a ninth inning come from behind affair. You can imagine how subtle I was!

Giants win 2-1 on a very well pitched game by J. Wright who is now 2-0 for his new team! Randy Winn hit his first HR of the season and Ray Durham knocked in the winning run in the top of the 9th with a Sac fly. Worrell got the save and we can all sleep well tonight. Thats it for the Bear.

Tonight it is Game 2 of this 3 game series.

    Schmidt
    0-1, 5.79

    Perez
    1-0, 8.64

This will be another tough game for the Giants, but so far they are playing like a very together team. Lets hope they keep this together! Also lets hope they keep Worrell in the closer role. He looks great!!

    GO GIANTS BEAT L.A.!!!

Pretty awesome stuff. Game ended at 3 AM for us East Coast people. Nothing quite like following baseball in the middle of the night, I love it.

The poor East Coast gets no love!

I gave up and didn't even know they resumed the game.

Great win. Well any win against the "bums" is a great win.

    GO GAINTS!

Kid...It was a really good game. Kent puts the fear of god in me. Man can that guy hit. The single biggest mistake of the last ten years was to let him go! A Hall guy for sure!

    GO GIANTS BEAT THE BUMS!!!!

Yeah the guy can hit a ton. Why did he have to end up in Dodger Blue? that really sucks.

Kent had to leave and we all know why. Wright did pitch a beauty and Worrell remains tough. The great thing is we keep winning without productivity from Barry. It will come but for right ow this team is playing sharp. Looks like Fassero might go on Sunday

Yeah, I know about the problems between Bonds and Kent, but money and management could have step in and made a difference. Both Bonds & Kent respected each other as players and I feel that there could have been something worked out. But this is in the past so I will let it go. But it would have been great if they could have kept both players on the team. They made each other better!
