    Padres History of the San Diego Chicken

    Saw the chicken discussion in another thread and thought I'd post this blurb about him. San Diego Chicken

    I remember all that lawsuit business and his "hatching" even though my mind was up in smoke back in those days.......

    The chicken was named one of the 100 most powerful people in sports for the 20th century by The Sporting News.
    Wow. That list is a joke.

    The chicken was once in a lawsuit with the producers for the show Barney & Friends for beating up a mascot look-alike.

    He got too famous and well known to grace himself at Pads games on a regular basis.....too bad...... he was/is a funny guy........
