Cameron is hurt, and could hit the DL

Cameron felt a pop in his side, and the preliminary results say it could be his oblique.....ugh.....he may start the season on the DL with Klesko......

Now while Klesko on the DL helps us......Cameron on the DL hurts us quite a bit.....ugh...

Tough blow... hopefully it doesn't turn out to be anything serious.
"They asked me if I wanted the ball in Game 6, and I said yes. I'll always say yes. That's what I did with Jack McKeon. I told him, 'Let me see how I feel tomorrow.' I went out, did a long toss, came in and said, 'I'll pitch, I want it, I want to do it.' And it ended up working out." -Josh Beckett

Cameron is definately a spectacular glove in CF and with Klesko going to start the season on the DL, they definately needed all the help on offense they could get.

Klesko on the DL is actually a good thing for us.... it gets him out of the way and off the field....that can only help a ballclub.....Cameron on the other hand was a needed cog in this Padre wheel

hopefully Ben Johnson will make it so we don't miss him too much on the offensive aspect, but there's no getting around the defensive blow this gives.

    Padres Update....

SAN DIEGO -- All things considered, Mike Cameron is getting along swimmingly.
An MRI taken Tuesday showed the Padres that the damage in Cameron's strained left oblique muscle is not as severe as the club thought it might be, the center fielder said Wednesday.
