Completely agree Hollywood. Estes isn't necessarily the 2nd best pitcher in the rotation, that's just the spot he was put into. I think it's a good thing not to throw Peavy and Young back to back.

I'm not insisting on anything.......when our finished rotation came out, he was listed as the #2 starter......I didn't make that rotation, nor do I believe he's our 2nd best pitcher.......these things were never said.........he started the 2nd game of our home opener also....this is typically reserved for who the manager deems his #2 arm...........like it or not

For all intensive purposes, Chris Young is the Padres 2nd best arm, we all know that, but I don't think Estes pitched all that bad and I for one am looking forward to getting him back.

I happen to agree with Young being our 2nd best arm.......and when we were making what we thought the rotation should be I put Young as our #2 guy also.......

I remember when Coach clowned on that guy a few years ago. I was listening to his show on the way home from work, and someone called in and Coach says "Uh oh, is that guy on the other sports station making up trades again". I about had a wreck right on the freeway.

I guess there's a reason the former "Mighty 1090" didn't ask him to come back when they started the station.

You always hear them playing clips of Rome clowning on him....I like Peavy starting the series against the Mets. If he pitches well and the Padre offense gets the timely hits and drives in runs, I think this will be a good start to the series.

You know what's funny, Peavy was talked about as a Cy Young candidate, but the way Young is throwing right now, he's going to be in the running as well.

I could handle having two guys on our team pitching good enough to qualify for the Cy Young.......that would make me all warm and fuzzy

I think Jake will have his best stuff tonight. I'm predicting Gonzo and Giles will lead the charge, Barfield will have another multi-hit night, and Trevor locks down save # 439.
