This uninspired brand of baseball, where the level of hustle is completely lacking blows dog nutz........I am about to shelf the season for a month or so......it's just boring to watch.........you know, it's one thing to play hard and lose to a better team.......but playing poorly and losing to teams that aren't better is just crap ! If we're to support our team shouldn't we also show them when we've had enough of this ?

I'd like to see Bochy meltdown, wigout, show some frigg'n emotion, and light a bonfire under thier asses.......I know that's not his style, but his style of laid back managing isn't working for shit ........ the scene from Bull Durham comes to mind........these guys are definately "lolly gaggers"

As for catchers on the farm, George Kottaras was highly touted last year, haven't read up on him much.

Ben Davis......Benito......one would think that with Bochy being a catcher that the Pads would have the catcher position locked....but NOOOOOO, have we ever had a day to day, go to guy, quality catcher?

We have one right now, and i'm sure the plan is to keep him....if he doesn't keep demanding 10 mil/year anyways.

Ausmus isn't too bad of a fill in till Kotteras is ready, although i'd rather keep Ramon (but not for 10 per)

I am a huge Ramon fan. I think he gets the job done well and he contributes offensively. As catchers go, I believe he is average. If he thinks he is worth 4/40 he won't be sticking around Padreville. He'll be gone to the highest bidder first chance he gets. You can bet the Pads won't give him what he wants.

I agree with you, but he's considered one of the best in the game right now by the "experts", and we're cosidered a middle market team now, and our team salary should be in the $80-85 mil range. If they do that then next year when Giles leaves we'll have quite a bit of $$$ to use to resign guys in thier 20's like Hernandez, and fill in blanks where needed ........I would like to see KT do this during this season to prepare for next year when this team will undergo an obvious housecleaning of sorts......

Anyways, I want Ramon resigned as much as anyone else, but he is NOT the best in the game, and even if he was I don't want to see us handing out anymore 10 mil/year contracts. I'd be reluctant to even give Peavy one of those, and if anyone on this roster is worth 10 per it's Peavy.
