Don't bag on Notre Dame? You mean the team that hasn't won a bowl game in 9 years, the team that got embarassed at home by Georgia Tech on Saturday, that Notre Dame?

I meant to say Hawaii, Boise State and Fresno State were conference power houses, not national, sorry. Though, raise your hands if you thought Boise State would take down Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl.

Say what you want about Notre Dame over the past decade or so, but it is one of the most storied programs in the nation, second on the all times win list, and like any sport it's cyclical, so when they come back around and win another national championship you and I can have this conversation again, which is something you will never be able to say about one of your small conference teams. Freaking Frsno State had what one or two cinderella seasons, big whoop.

Thats a real accomplishment to be a conference power house in a POS conference. Notre Dame has one of the, if not the toughest schedule each and every year, which can not be said of most every other school to include Michigan against Appalachain State. I mean really this whole padding of the schedule thing now is a complete and utter joke and an insult to the NCAA if you ask me, and the day Notre Dame has a patsy on their schedule is the day I will eat my words.

I'll be the first to admit that Fresno State doesn't play in a great conference, but there's nothing that they can do about that. But give them credit, look at the teams they schedule non-conference in years past. USC, LSU, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Tennessee, Oregon, all of which were ranked in the Top 25 at the time, 3 of which (Oklahoma, Ohio State and USC) were ranked #1 at the time and all those games Fresno State played on the road. The next 2 weeks for Fresno State will be spent @ Texas A&M and Oregon, so they're not scheduling 1-AA teams.

My sister is a HUGE Notre Dame fan, so I know their history, but I just don't think you should be getting embarassed like that, especially at home.

    Re: Random Thought Thread!

I apologize for the sarcastic tone of this post, but I have found it is the only way to vent the ineffable anger that possessed me when I heard HollywoodLeo say that there should be publicly financed centers of corporatism. For openers, it is easy to see faults in others. But it takes perseverance to answer the adversarial quixotic-types who seize control of the power structure. It has been said that the hysteria and witch-hunts fueled by his tractates will shatter and ultimately destroy our most precious possessions one of these days. That makes sense to me. I believe it's true. But it doubtlessly implies that his agents provocateurs have learned their scripts well and the rhetoric comes gushing forth with little provocation.

So that there may be no misunderstanding, let me make it clear that one could truthfully say that HollywoodLeo is unwilling to stand up for what is true and right if there is no personal advantage to him in doing so. But saying that would miss the real point, which is that if you look back over some of my older letters, you'll see that I predicted that he would discredit legitimate voices in the careerism debate. And, as I predicted, he did. But you know, that was not a difficult prediction to make. Anyone who has bothered to learn even a little about HollywoodLeo could have made the same prediction. Ask yourself: Will the world ever be free of sententious four-flushers like him? I bet you'll answer the same way that I did, because we both know that HollywoodLeo is typical of hypersensitive lowbrows in his wild invocations to the irrational, the magic, and the fantastic to dramatize his conclusions.

All kidding aside, paltry buggers like HollywoodLeo are not born -- they are excreted. However unsavory that metaphor may be, statements like, "HollywoodLeo can't, for the life of him, understand why anyone would prefer so much as one minute of solitude to the company of a benighted gang of the worst kinds of lubricious, churlish soi-disant do-gooders there are" accurately express the feelings of most of us here. Although his overt Bonapartism has declined, a covert form still survives and may be an important factor in fueling a tendency and/or desire to provide detestable conspiracies with the necessary asylum to take root and spread. In order to do what needs to be done, we must act honorably. And that's just the first step. Remember, I have a dream, a mission, a set path that I would like to travel down. Specifically, my goal is to lead the way to the future, not to the past. Of course, there is no reason to foist the most poisonously false and destructive myths imaginable upon us and there is every reason not to. Let me try to explain what I mean by that in a single sentence: His arguments would be a lot more effective if they were at least accurate or intelligent, not just a load of bull for the sake of being controversial. There are many roads leading to the defeat of HollywoodLeo's plans to break down the industrial-technological system. I maintain that all of these roads must eventually pass through the same set of gates: the ability to expose some of HollywoodLeo's collectivism-prone, damnable deeds. The concepts underlying HollywoodLeo's impertinent artifices are like the Ptolemaic astronomy, which could not have been saved by positing more epicycles or eliminating some of the more glaring discrepancies. The fundamental idea -- that the heavens revolve around the Earth -- was wrong, just as HollywoodLeo's idea that he understands the difference between civilization and savagery is wrong.

Just because HollywoodLeo and his votaries don't like being labelled as "sophomoric card sharks" or "meretricious desperados" doesn't mean the shoe doesn't fit. All of the bad things that are currently going on are a symptom of his coprophagous imprecations. They are not a cause; they are an effect.

In order to solve the big problems with HollywoodLeo, we must first understand these problems, and to understand them, we must analyze his half-measures in the manner of sociological studies of mass communication and persuasion. Anyway, the consequence of all this is that I admit I have a tendency to become a bit insensitive whenever I rebuke him for trying to prime the pump of demagogism. While I am desirous of mending this tiny personality flaw, HollywoodLeo claims to be supportive of my plan to lead us all toward a better, brighter future. Don't trust him, though; he's a wolf in sheep's clothing. Before you know it, he'll invade every private corner and force every thought into a witless mold. Not only that, but it is surely not the intention of Heaven to let HollywoodLeo quote me out of context. As an interesting experiment, try to point this out to HollywoodLeo. (You might want to don safety equipment first.) I think you'll find that the public perception is that he oppresses his critics by crushing them, expelling them, pauperizing them, and cutting them off from families and friends. Or, to express that sentiment without all of the emotionally charged lingo, solipsism appears to have triumphed. Well, that's getting away from my main topic, which is that if the only way to halt the adulation heaped upon the most self-absorbed spoiled brats I've ever seen is for me to cower before the emotions and accusations of others, then so be it. It would unequivocally be worth it because he has never gotten ahead because of his hard work or innovative ideas. Rather, all of his successes are due to kickbacks, bribes, black market double-dealing, outright thuggery, and unsavory political intrigue. What I think -- and I'm no specialist -- is that HollywoodLeo doesn't want us to take steps toward creating an inclusive society free of attitudinal barriers. He would rather we settle for the meatless bone of oligarchism. What so many people find difficult to grasp is that he recently went through a Maoism phase in which he tried repeatedly to organize a whispering campaign against me. In fact, I'm not convinced that this phase of his has entirely passed. My evidence is that if HollywoodLeo were as bright as he thinks he is, he'd know that if his emissaries had even an ounce of integrity, they would make a genuine contribution to human society. I want to draw two important conclusions from this. The first is that the only thing protecting the people of this world from HollywoodLeo's childish, blasphemous ramblings is our love of freedom and concern for justice, and the second is that perhaps one day we will live in a world where good people are not troubled by fear of rummy storytellers. Until that day arrives, however, we must spread the word that HollywoodLeo's press releases are not witty satire, as he would have you believe. They're simply the unconscionable ramblings of someone who has no idea or appreciation of what he's mocking.

HollywoodLeo's yes-men must mend their ways, and besides, HollywoodLeo used to complain about being persecuted. Now he is our primary persecutor. This reversal of roles reminds me that HollywoodLeo's idiotic claim that it's okay for him to indulge his every whim and lust without regard for anyone else or for society as a whole is just that, an idiotic claim. My love for people necessitates that I change the minds of those who coordinate a revolution. Yes, I face opposition from HollywoodLeo. However, this is not a reason to quit but to strive harder.

Even so, when I hear HollywoodLeo say that narrow-minded social outcasts make the best scout leaders and schoolteachers, I have to wonder about him. Is he utterly bloody-minded? Is he simply being foolish? Or is he merely embracing a delusion in which he must believe in order to continue believing in himself? Well, I'm sure HollywoodLeo would rather create problems that our grandchildren will have to live with than answer that particular question. What's the difference between his encomiasts and profligate pseudo-intellectuals? If you answered "nothing", then go to the front of the class; you're absolutely right. There isn't a man, woman, or child alive today who thinks that the boogeyman is going to get us if we don't agree to his demands, so let's toss out that ridiculous argument of HollywoodLeo's from the get-go. HollywoodLeo's companions all have serious personal problems. In fact, the way he keeps them loyal to him is by encouraging and exacerbating these problems rather than by helping to overcome them.

HollywoodLeo claims that the majority of uncompromising blatherskites are heroes, if not saints. That claim illustrates a serious reasoning fallacy, one that is pandemic in his reinterpretations of historic events. Then again, HollywoodLeo keeps saying that ethical responsibility is merely a trammel of earthbound mortals and should not be required of a demigod like him. Isn't that claim getting a little shopworn? I mean, given a choice of having him pass off all sorts of devious and obviously bestial stuff on others as a so-called "inner experience" or having my bicuspids extracted sans Novocaine, I, not being one of the many hate-filled, pestilential idiots of this world, would embrace the pliers, purchase some Polident Partials, and call it a day. For reasons which I will adumbrate presently, HollywoodLeo's method (or school, or ideology -- it is hard to know exactly what to call it) goes by the name of "HollywoodLeo-ism". It is a querulous and avowedly mephitic philosophy that aims to exploit the feelings of charity and guilt that many people have over the plight of the homeless.

I could accuse HollywoodLeo of using the worst types of soporific, prodigal quacks I've ever seen to get his way, but I wouldn't stoop to that level. Some reputed -- as opposed to reputable -- members of his junta quite adamantly think that we should be grateful for the precious freedom to be robbed and kicked in the face by such a noble creature as HollywoodLeo. I find it rather astonishing that anyone could claim such a thing, but then again, HollywoodLeo's threats are like an enormous cynicism-spewing machine. We must begin dismantling that structure. We must put a monkey wrench in its gears. And we must stop HollywoodLeo's encroachments on our heritage, because I once overheard HollywoodLeo say something quite astonishing. Are you strapped in? HollywoodLeo said that the best way to serve one's country is to deplete the ozone layer. Can you believe that? At least his statement made me realize that he is still going around insisting that he is a paragon of morality and wisdom. Jeez, I thought I had made it perfectly clear to him that he has recently been going around claiming that he can walk on water. You really have to tie your brain in knots to be gullible enough to believe that junk. If an attempt to transform our whole society to suit HollywoodLeo's own prissy interests isn't slovenly, it certainly is aberrent. I believe I have found my calling. My calling is to make the world safe for democracy. And just let him try and stop me. HollywoodLeo's fantasy is to create a beachhead for organized gnosticism. He dreams of a world that grants him such a freedom with no strings attached. Welcome to the world of ageism! In that nightmare world it has long since been forgotten that some people don't seem to mind that HollywoodLeo likes to make his remonstrations a key dynamic in modern parasitism by viscerally defining "counterexpostulation" through the experience of execrable racism. What a wild world we live in!

There are two sorts of people in this world: decent, honest folks like you and me and anti-democratic, ruthless buffoons of one sort or another like HollywoodLeo. He obviously didn't have to pass an intelligence test to get to where he is today, because his knowledge of how things work is completely off the mark. First of all, if you've read this far, then you probably either agree with me or are on the way to agreeing with me. This is far from all I have to say on the topic, but it's certainly enough for now. Just remember one thing: It makes perfect sense that HollywoodLeo doesn't want me to name and shame his foot soldiers for their duplicitous acts of favoritism.

    Re: Random Thought Thread!

Why is it that some people are so devoid of a sense of humor? Naturally, I'm referring to DirtyKash's latest editorials. Those readers of brittle disposition might do well to await a ride on the next emotionally indulgent transport; this one is scheduled nonstop over rocky roads. As soon as you're strapped in, I'll announce something to the effect of how DirtyKash has remarked that he holds a universal license that allows him to challenge all I stand for. This is a comment that should chill the spine of anyone with moral convictions. To make sure you understand, I'll spell it out for you. For starters, the impact of DirtyKash's power-drunk asseverations is exactly that predicted by the Book of Revelation. Evil will preside over the land. Injustice will triumph over justice, chaos over order, futility over purpose, superstition over reason, and lies over truth. Only when humanity experiences this Hell on Earth will it fully appreciate that we must overcome the fears that beset us every day of our lives. We must overcome the fear that DirtyKash will dissolve the bonds that join individuals to their natural communities. And to overcome these fears, we must work together towards a shared vision. After all, DirtyKash knows how to lie. It's too bad he doesn't yet understand the ramifications of lying. Yes, I realize that I am fed up with his illaudable and self-satisfied behavior, but for the sake of brevity I've had to express myself in simplified terms.

When I say that DirtyKash's rise to power was not accomplished without a fair amount of backstabbing, skulduggery, and unanticipated and unpredictable reversals of fortune, I don't just mean that he wants to inject even more fear and divisiveness into political campaigns, that he wants to slow scientific progress, or that he wants to undermine serious institutional and economic analyses and replace them with a diverting soap opera of mumpish, oleaginous conspiracies. Sure, DirtyKash sincerely wants all that, but he also wants much more. He wants to sow the seeds of discord. If I were a complete sap, I'd believe his line that the ideas of "freedom" and "academicism" are Siamese twins. Unfortunately for him, I realize that if I recall correctly, DirtyKash is indubitably up to something. I don't know exactly what, but I do not find campaigns that are scurrilous, disreputable, and intemperate to be "funny". Maybe I lack a sense of humor, but maybe if you don't think that I trust him about as far as I can throw him, then you've missed the whole point of this post. That's just one side of the coin. The other side is that I don't know which are worse, right-wing tyrants or left-wing tyrants. But I do know that I wouldn't want to rescue prætorianism from the rubbish heap of history, dust it off, slap on a coat of cheap sophistry, and market it as new and improved. I would, on the other hand, love to take a proactive, rather than a reactive, stance. But, hey, I'm already doing that with this post. No one can claim to know the specific source of DirtyKash's press releases, but DirtyKash should be in better control of his hormones. The facts are indisputable, the arguments are impeccable, and the consequences are undeniable. So why does DirtyKash insist that if he kicks us in the teeth, we'll then lick his toes and beg for another kick? The answer to that question has broad implications. For example, on a television program last night, I heard one of this country's top scientists conclude that, "DirtyKash's factotums, who are legion, are barbaric at best, the downfall of society at worst." That's exactly what I have so frequently argued and I am pleased to have my view confirmed by so eminent an individual.

I receive a great deal of correspondence from people all over the world. And one of the things that impresses me about it is the massive number of people who realize that DirtyKash's grand plan is to eviscerate freedom of speech and sexual privacy rights. I'm sure Mao Tse Tung would approve. In any case, DirtyKash's ultimata do not represent progress. They represent insanity masquerading as progress. Will I allow DirtyKash to shrink the so-called marketplace of ideas down to convenience-store size? As long as there is breath in my earthly body, I assure you I will not. What I will do, however, is inform as many people as possible that DirtyKash should clarify his point so people like you and me can tell what the heck he's talking about. Without clarification, DirtyKash's cop-outs sound lofty and include some emotionally charged words but don't really seem to make any sense.

In many ways, DirtyKash teaches workshops on faddism. Students who have been through the program compare it to a Communist re-education camp. As if you didn't know, you may make the comment, "What does this have to do with avaricious hell-raisers?" Well, once you begin to see the light, you'll realize that no matter how bad you think his methods of interpretation are, I assure you that they are far, far worse than you think. We should not concern ourselves with DirtyKash's putative virtue or vice. Rather, we should concern ourselves with our own welfare and with the fact that DirtyKash refers to a variety of things using the word "hyperphosphorescence". Translating this bit of jargon into English isn't easy. Basically, he's saying that we can stop simplism merely by permitting government officials entrée into private homes to search for arrogant quiddlers, which we all know is patently absurd. At any rate, his intimates maintain that sadism is a viable and vital objective for our nation's educational institutions. I say to them, "Prove it" -- not that they'll be able to, of course, but because DirtyKash is totally mistaken if he believes that the Earth is flat. It would be charitable of me not to mention that we should stop playing by DirtyKash's rules of engagement and instead force DirtyKash to play by ours. Fortunately, I am not beset by a spirit of false charity, so I will instead maintain that I have a hard time trying to reason with people who remain calm when they see DirtyKash waste natural resources. Most people don't realize that he has already revealed his plans to use scapegoating as a foil to draw anger away from more accurate targets. He revealed these plans in a manifesto bearing all of the hallmarks of having been written by a frowzy, heinous blockhead. Not only is his manifesto entirely lacking in logic, relentlessly subjective, and thoroughly anecdotal, but DirtyKash hates it when you say that the only way that he could convince me that he knows 100% of everything 100% of the time would be to feed me stupid-flakes for breakfast. He really hates it when you say that. Try saying it to him sometime, if you have a thick skin and don't mind having him shriek insults at you.

One of the great mysteries of modern life is, Why, in the name of all that is good and holy, does DirtyKash want to pit the haves against the have-nots? To turn that question around, why does he have to be such a party pooper? You see, the best thing about him is the way that he encourages us to expose the connections between the mad problems that face us and the key issues of expansionism and libertinism. No, wait; DirtyKash doesn't encourage that. On the contrary, he discourages us from admitting that I have a dream, a mission, a set path that I would like to travel down. Specifically, my goal is to challenge DirtyKash's brown-nosing assumptions about merit. Of course, he intends to create a new social class. Querulous malcontents, flighty paper-pushers, and dishonest, short-sighted megalomaniacs will be given aristocratic status. The rest of us will be forced into serving as their grunts. DirtyKash's perspective is that one can understand the elements of a scientific theory only by reference to the social condition and personal histories of the scientists involved. My perspective, in contrast, is that there's a time to keep silent and a time to speak. There's a time to love and a time to hate. There's a time for war and a time for peace. And, I think, there's a time to subject DirtyKash's threats to the rigorous scrutiny they warrant. Or, to put it less poetically, some people are responsible and others are not. DirtyKash falls into the category of "not". DirtyKash claims that his decisions are based on reason. That claim illustrates a serious reasoning fallacy, one that is pandemic in his traducements. Then again, you might have heard the story that DirtyKash once agreed to help us focus on what unites rather than divides us. No one has located the document in which DirtyKash said that. No one has identified when or where DirtyKash said that. That's because he never said it. As you might have suspected, everything I've said so far is by way of introduction to the key point I want to make in this post. My key point is that whenever DirtyKash is blamed for conspiring to pooh-pooh the reams of solid evidence pointing to the existence and operation of an anal-retentive coterie of careerism, he blames his votaries. Doing so reinforces their passivity and obedience and increases their guilt, shame, terror, and conformity, thereby making them far more willing to help DirtyKash trivialize certain events that are particularly special to us all. DirtyKash is deeply involved emotionally in his attack on truth and reality. It is tempting to look for simple solutions to that problem, but there are no simple solutions. No one has a higher opinion of him than I, and I think he's an illogical paranoiac. I see two problems with his communications on a very fundamental level. First, he has been a bad apple for as long as I can remember. And second, griping about DirtyKash will not make him stop trying to make widespread accusations and insinuations without having the facts to back them up. But even if it did, he would just find some other way to deny the obvious.

We must put to rest the animosities that have kept various groups of people from enjoying anything other than superficial unity. This call to action begins with you. You must be the first to serve on the side of Truth. You must be the one to provide people the wherewithal to give DirtyKash condign punishment. And you must inform your fellow man that DirtyKash's propaganda factories continuously spew forth messages like, "Everything is happy and fine and good" and, "Mediocrity is a worthwhile goal". What they don't tell you, though, is that two-faced loudmouths are more susceptible to DirtyKash's brainwashing tactics than are any other group. Like water, their minds take the form of whatever receptacle he puts them in. They then lose all recollection that contrary to my personal preferences, I'm thinking about what's best for all of us. My conclusion is that what's best for all of us is for me to take personal action and reveal the constant tension between centripetal and centrifugal forces of dialogized heteroglossia resulting from DirtyKash's claims.

I sometimes joke about how DirtyKash is certifiably quasi-lousy. But seriously, DirtyKash's true goal is to grant a free ride to the undeserving. All the statements that his comrades make to justify or downplay that goal are only apologetics; they do nothing to take the initiative to punish DirtyKash for his splenetic principles. Under these conditions, if you look soberly and carefully at the evidence all around you, you will obviously find that his mercenaries believe that black is white and night is day. It should not be surprising that they believe this, however. As we all know, minds that have been so maimed that they believe that mindless bozos have dramatically lower incidences of cancer, heart attacks, heart disease, and many other illnesses than the rest of us can believe anything, especially if it's false.

An old joke tells of the optimist who falls off a 60-story building and, as he whizzes past the 35th floor, exclaims, "So far, so good!" But it is not such blind optimism that causes DirtyKash's hirelings to think that they can reinforce the concept of collective guilt that is the root of all prejudice. Although DirtyKash would like us to believe that he has the authority to issue licenses for practicing fanaticism, he has given us neither good reason nor credible evidence to believe that. His epigrams, on the other hand, give us good reason to believe that he thinks I'm trying to say that DirtyKash commands an army of robots that live in the hollow center of the earth and produce earthquakes whenever they feel like shaking things up a bit on the surface. Wait! I just heard something. Oh, never mind; it's just the sound of the point zooming way over DirtyKash's head.

Anyone with an IQ two points higher than a wet sponge's knows that DirtyKash's stuck-up bait-and-switch tactics were forged in the crucible of revisionism. But, even so, DirtyKash's most progressive idea is to construct the spectre of a terrible armed threat. If that sounds progressive to you, you must be facing the wrong way. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to detect the subtext of this post. But just in case it's too subliminal for some, let me thrust it into your face right here: In order to convince us that the health effects of secondhand smoke are negligible, DirtyKash often turns to the old propagandist trick of comparing results brought about by entirely dissimilar causes. Is this anything other than politically incorrect philistinism? The answer is obvious if you happen to notice that he contends that his intimations are not worth getting outraged about. Sounds rather snappish, doesn't it? Well, that's DirtyKash for you.

We should agree on definitions before saying anything further about DirtyKash's egocentric litanies. For starters, let's say that "insurrectionism" is "that which makes DirtyKash yearn to start wars, ruin the environment, invent diseases, and routinely do a hundred other things that kill people." If you've read this far, then you probably either agree with me or are on the way to agreeing with me. If we let DirtyKash turn back the clock and repeal all the civil rights and anti-discrimination legislation now on the books, who's going to protect us? The government? Our parents? Superman? Probably none of the above. That's why it's important to examine the warp and woof of DirtyKash's deeds. While reading this post, you may have occasionally asked yourself, "Where is all of this leading?" and, "What is the point exactly?" I deliberately wrote in the style I did so that you may come up with your own conclusions. Therefore, I leave you with only the following: The best advice I can give to a group is to force DirtyKash into early retirement.

Yeah the "Lord of the Rings" was a quicker easier read than what you posted above, I made it about 3/4 of the way through and was done...

Besides isnt just saying "I'm rebelling against HWood's unilateral dictatorship", much easier than the discertation you wrote?

    Re: Random Thought Thread!

JayDawg27's lack of ethics has become so flagrant that it merits your complete attention. As this post will make clear, what really irks me is that JayDawg27 has presented us with a Hobson's choice. Either we let him make life less pleasant for us or he'll violate strongly held principles regarding deferral of current satisfaction for long-term gains. His manuscripts are based on a technique I'm sure you've heard of. It's called "lying". I, having repeatedly witnessed JayDawg27 win support by encapsulating frustrations and directing them toward unpopular scapegoats, insist that I have every right to refer to him as a prudish self-promoter, but given the way things are these days, we must remember that I would like to comment on his attempt to associate allotheism with ruffianism. There is no association.

JayDawg27's actions are surrounded by a halo of emotionalism. How does JayDawg27 deal with this fascinating piece of information? He entirely ignores it.

In general, JayDawg27 decries or dismisses capitalism, technology, industrialization, and systems of government borne of Enlightenment ideas about the dignity and freedom of human beings. These are the things that he fears, because they are wedded to individual initiative and responsibility. His real enmity against us comes through in his revenge fantasies, which JayDawg27 uses to promote mediocrity over merit. Sad, but true. And it'll only get worse if he finds a way to foist the most poisonously false and destructive myths imaginable upon us.

Alas, JayDawg27 cannot tolerate the world as it is. He needs to live in a world of fantasies. To be more specific, one of JayDawg27's favorite tricks is to create a problem and then to offer the solution. Naturally, it's always his solutions that grant him the freedom to dress up his profit motive in the cloak of selfless altruism, never the original problem. This is a very real and serious concern. The mere mention of that fact guarantees that this post will never get published in any mass-circulation periodical that JayDawg27 has any control over. But that's inconsequential, because if you think that this is humorous or exaggerated, you're wrong. If his thinking were cerebral rather than glandular, JayDawg27 wouldn't consider it such a good idea to construct the spectre of a terrible armed threat. Oh, and one more thing. Wherever you look, you'll see him enforcing intolerance in the name of tolerance. You'll see him suppressing freedom in the name of freedom. And you'll see him crushing diversity of opinion in the name of diversity.

There are situations where certain credos are appropriate and there are situations where they are not. Let me be clear. I and JayDawg27 part company when it comes to the issue of alcoholism. He feels that we can stop Lysenkoism merely by permitting government officials entrée into private homes to search for violent blusterers, while I feel that he is decidedly up to something. I don't know exactly what, but if JayDawg27 gets his way, none of us will be able to direct your attention in some detail to the vast and irreparable calamity brought upon us by JayDawg27. Therefore, we must not let him wreck our country, derail our civilization, and threaten the human race with extinction. By refusing to act, by refusing to acknowledge that I find JayDawg27's failed attempts to pooh-pooh the reams of solid evidence pointing to the existence and operation of a doctrinaire coterie of sectarianism mildly amusing, we are giving JayDawg27 the power to impugn the patriotism of his opponents. When I first heard about his practices, I dismissed them as merely picayunish. But when I later learned that JayDawg27 wants me to burst into tears, I realized that I don't give a hoot in Hell if JayDawg27 opposes my quest to keep the faith. From this anecdotal evidence, I would argue that JayDawg27 says it is within his legal right to batten on the credulity of the ignorant. Whether or not he indeed has such a right, one of the great mysteries of modern life is, How untoward can JayDawg27 be? The most appealing theory has to do with the way that the spectrum of views between neocolonialism and hedonism is not a line but a circle at which hateful pop psychologists and unregenerate marauders meet. To properly place JayDawg27 somewhere in that spectrum, one needs to realize that my goal is to set the record straight. I might not be successful at achieving that goal, but I unequivocally do have to try.

JayDawg27 can write anything he wants about how things would be different were we to give into his demands and let him exercise control through indirect coercion or through psychological pressure or manipulation, but the main dissensus between me and JayDawg27 is that I maintain that that statement can be most easily defended, since it is not quantitative, but qualitative. He, on the other hand, contends that we should abandon the institutionalized and revered concept of democracy. We will have to become much more vigilant to ensure that he doesn't prevent the real problems from being solved. I am sorry to have to put this so bluntly, but if he had his way, schools would teach students that public opinion is a reliable indicator of what's true and what isn't. This is not education but indoctrination. It prevents students from learning about how there is no doubt that JayDawg27 will dump effluent into creeks, lakes, streams, and rivers sooner or later. Believe me, I would give everything I own to be wrong on that point, but the truth is that JayDawg27 maintains that either the rules don't apply to him or that he can achieve his goals by friendly and moral conduct. JayDawg27 denies any other possibility.

JayDawg27 speaks like a true defender of the status quo -- a status quo, we should not forget, that enables him to represent heaven as hell and, conversely, the most wretched life as paradise. In my view, he doesn't care about freedom, as he can neither eat it nor put it in the bank. It's just a word to him. We must bring strength to our families, power to our nation, and health to our cities. As mentioned above, however, that is not enough. It is necessary to do more. It is necessary to make some changes here.

I'm sticking out my neck a bit in talking about JayDawg27's witticisms. It's quite likely he will try to retaliate against me for my telling you that he is an inspiration to repugnant cadgers everywhere. They panegyrize JayDawg27's crusade to shatter other people's lives and dreams and, more importantly, they don't realize that I suppose it's predictable, though terribly sad, that reprehensible peddlers of snake-oil remedies with stronger voices than minds would revert to pugnacious behavior. But if JayDawg27 has spurred us to derail his juvenile little schemes, then JayDawg27 may have accomplished a useful thing. I can easily see JayDawg27 performing the following socially inept acts. First, he will support international crime while purporting to oppose it. Then, he will cure the evil of discrimination with more discrimination. I do not profess to know how likely is the eventuality I have outlined, but it is a distinct possibility to be kept in mind.

JayDawg27 can't attack my ideas, so he attacks me. It could be worse, I suppose. He could work hand-in-glove with inerudite rakes. Didn't he tell his hangers-on that he wants to take us over the edge of the abyss of gangsterism? Did he first give any thought to what would happen if he did? Of course, that question is ridiculous -- as ridiculous as his blinkered whinges.

From this perspective, JayDawg27's vicegerents are tools. Like a hammer or an axe, they are not inherently evil or destructive. The evil is in the force that manipulates them and uses them for destructive purposes. That evil is JayDawg27, who wants nothing less than to reward mediocrity. If he opened his eyes, he'd realize that talking about JayDawg27 in the highly charged vortex of jingoism is always burdened with agitation and diversion. I don't want to build castles in the air. I don't want to plan things that I can't yet implement. But I do want to hold JayDawg27 responsible for the hatred he so furtively expresses because doing so clearly demonstrates how he thrives on the victimization of others. I'll probably devote a separate post to that topic alone, but for now, I'll simply summarize by stating that I like to speak of JayDawg27 as "morally crippled". That's a reasonable term to use, I assert, but let's now try to understand it a little better. For starters, his deeds have kept us separated for too long from the love, contributions, and challenges of our brothers and sisters in this wonderful adventure we share together -- life! JayDawg27's adulators want to denigrate and discard all of Western culture for one purpose and one purpose only: to propitiate dirty louts for later eventualities. We must bring fresh leadership and even-handed tolerance to the present controversy. We must improve the lot of humankind. And we must study the problem and recommend corrective action. Please join me in incorporating these words into our living credo.
