    Re: Chargers QB situation

Rivers has 40 pass attempts to LT's 16 carries, 13 of which I believe were in the 1st half. Meaning, 3 in the 2nd half? He's the Chargers MVP! WTF!

Nice job holding that #1 spot Ohio State, way to prove you deserve another National Title shot....go away.

LSU v Oregon for the National Title....though, I'd love to see Kansas get a shot at LSU.

    Re: Chargers QB situation

Chargers, Bengals, Ravens could be interested in Jason Garrett

Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett has emerged as a candidate for a head coaching job in the NFL. According to the Dallas Morning News there are three potential openings that might interest Garrett.
The San Diego Chargers are the most attractive with all the offensive skills the team has. There is also the Cincinnati Bengals, who do have Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson. And finally, the Baltimore Ravens, who need an offensive-minded coach.

Misleading headlines like this bug me.

The headline implies that those teams are interested in Garrett, but the body indicates that Garrett could be interested in those teams.

    Two different meanings.

    Re: Chargers QB situation

I think a young head coach could be exactly what the Chargers are looking for. I don't think A.J. Smith's ego will be able to take a hit by firing Norv Turner, but to be honest, his record did say "DON'T HIRE ME".

    Re: Chargers QB situation

The knock on AJ Smith's "ego" is blown out of proportion.

I don't doubt for one second that Dean Spanos will fire Norv Turner should the Chargers miss the playoffs this year. (or even go one and done after barely making it thanks to a poor division)

AJ Smith will be fine if a new head coach is brought in and he'll continue to do what he does best, acquire talent.

I just hope this time he learns his lesson when it comes to hand picking coordinators for his HC.

FIRE Norv.....FIRE Shelmon...promote Ron Rivera, let him bring in his O-Coordinator, give him the rest of this year to get his feet wet, then he'll be fully ready to coach this team next year......

But for the love of god blow out Norv.......
