    Padres 2006 Spring Training Camp

    Well I don't know about the rest of you but I've got my reservations for Spring Training. Wifey, my son and I will be there over the weekend of March 23rd.........and we're looking forward to it.......

    Is anyone else heading out to Spring Training this year ?

    Team USA manager Buck Martinez expects Jake Peavy to toe the rubber three times during the World Baseball Classic, starting with the opener against Mexico on March 7. "There's plenty of time in between games for Jake to get plenty of rest," Martinez told the San Diego Union-Tribune. Martinez told the Union-Tribune that USA pitching coach Marcel Lachemann has discussed what to expect regarding Peavy with Padres pitching coach Darren Balsley and will monitor the righty's workload closely.

    Yup......he's going to make his first spring training trip, and will attend most of the games we do this year..........I'm looking forward to seeing how he reacts to it........should be fun
