    traded Xavier Nady to the Mets for CF Mike Cameron
    traded PTBNL or cash to Pittsburgh for SS/2B Bobby Hill
    traded Sean Burroughs to Tampa Bay for Dewen Brezalton
    traded Mark Loretta to Boston for C Doub Mirabelli
    signed Brian Giles, Trevor Hoffman, Eric Young, and Geoff Blum

    Gwynn could probably still hit .300+ but his doubles would be down if the move the fences in.........he'd need the extra 20' to leg out a double carrying around the gravey boat

    Tony probably could've lasted a few more years if he didn't have the weight problems at the end of his career.

    Tony would have stayed for at least two more years if Petco wasn't held up in litigation like it was......... all the more reason to burn down the house of that frigg'n nobody lawyer that tried to make a name for himself and failed.... bastard stole two more years of TG from us

    Actually his problem wasn't weight, it was his knees, right, which was aggravated by his weight. I wonder if he has heard of Overeater's Anonymous?

    Jenny Craig ? PUSH AWAY FROM THE TABLE !!!.........

    I still can't understand the professional athlete that allows himself to go. It's bad enough when the average person does, but when you're blessed with the opportunity to play professional sports the least you can do is keep yourself in prime shape...... and I know round is a shape, but that's not what I'm talking about .......... Gwynn exercises, eats right, keeps his weight down, his knees would feel better and he could have had two / three more seasons.............
