Epstein is forward thinking........doesn't seem limited to just building a nice bench......so we'll see

There's a bunch of rumors. This could turn out to be a trade of Epstein for Towers in a way (which I wouldn't be happy with one bit), or the Sox could lose both their young executives and have to find someone else...or the Red Sox could keep Theo by giving him some money.

Towers didn't get the AZ job..........It's being talked about by the local sports talk shows that he wont stay in San Diego either way now........He'd end up being Sandy Alderson *****boy, and Towers doesn't need that.........however if the Padres fire him, he's owed quite a bit of $$$$$$ so it sounds like that's where we're at...........interesting situation

Nobody else thinks that Epstein would go crazy playing second fiddle to Alderson, and having to do his job with a major curb to his spending ability?? At least Towers knows what to expect here already ......... not sure this is a win win but I'd like to be wrong
