    Padres/Rockies series

Don't know if we have enough activity in here yet to warrent individual gameday threads yet, so I'll start a thread for the series' and see how it goes. If the activity is high enough then we'll do threads for each game. (which hopefully will be the case sooner rather than later)

    game 1

    Woody Williams vs Joe Kennedy

    game 2 (Wednesday)

    Brian Lawrence vs Jason Jennings

unfortunately I will be missing game 1, thanks to work .

Its important we get off to a good start here in Colorado vs a lesser team.

Hopefully BLaw has his sinker working.

as a side note, I could possibly be wrong on Brian Lawrence getting the start in game 2. That's just my assumption, because Sportsline.com lists Jake Peavy as starting game 2, and I know he's starting the home opener.

Its probably either Lawrence or Eaton. Peavy is starting the home opener for sure.

On a side note, today.. or yesterday, Lawrence threw in a simulated game before they took off for Colorado.

Yep. Rockies cameback to win this one with 4 in the bottom of the 9th. No idea how they can do that but they did. Wouldn't be surprised if San Diego takes the next 2.

Well, so much for getting off of that good start.

Was at work so I couldn't catch this one.

Looks like a shootout in Coors where Woody got shelled..

Ramon had a HR and Nady homered twice.. even in coors Nady is making a strong case for more PT

    Padres

The Pads looked mostly sloppy throughout. Lots of mental mistakes and missed signs. Hopefully Bochy will have a sit down with them tomorrow, and they'll get it together before Wednesdays game. The offense finally came around some and Nady and Giles definitely were the players of the game.

It sure puts some doubts into the predictions most everyone was making about the Rox being losers this season. They must have had 6 or 7 rookies in the game, all of whom did VERY well. The Rox always give the Pads hell though, especially in Coors.

This was just game one and on to the next we go.......

    indeed Trevor.

Sometimes the good thing about this forum not being an over populated forum is that theres no "the Sky is falling threads"..

saw a few on the UT forum earlier about hoffy sucking haha.
