Padres R.I.P. 2012 San Diego Padres

    R.I.P. 2012 San Diego Padres - CBSSports.com

This really should have been written a long time ago but the Padres came on strong in the 2nd half and refused to go away.

    Ridiculously premature prediction for 2013

The Padres followed a 36-52 start in 2009 to finish the second half 39-35, using that as a springboard to a 2010 season that saw the Padres lead the NL West until the last week of the season. With a solid base and money to spend, the Padres are once again a factor in the NL West.

It's convenient for you to believe the Padres are always a factor in the NL West because things go in cycles in that division, yet you never gave the Chiefs and then Broncos a chance in the AFC West the past two seasons.

Somebody had to win the AFC West the past two years.

You mean just like somebody had to win the NL West in 2010 when the Dodgers would inevitably regress after having won the past two division titles?

Same shit with the Chargers. You had to know their AFC West title run would inevitably end and one of the other teams (in a similar position as the Padres in the NL West) would somehow win it.
