Venable sent down

Padres optioned OF Will Venable to Triple-A Tucson.
Quite a fall from grace for the guy who batted leadoff and played right field on Opening Day. Venable, 28, has struggled to the tune of a .224/.293/.291 batting line with a 36/13 K/BB ratio over 151 plate appearances this season. Chris Denorfia figures to get most of the playing time in right field

Sam Deduno was DFA'd to make room for Venable at AAA. Looks like they will be better on paper now
