****ing Padres. If you're not going to pass the Giants, you might as well get the **** out. Because the last thing I want in the first playoff round is the Giants to draw the cupcake Reds.
No offense to the Reds fans, but my fear is they will not win that matchup.
With the way the Giants have been pitching, not even the Phillies are guaranteed a series win. Giants will be tough.
With the way the Padres are hitting they would probably lose in the first round of the playoffs even if they were pitching like the Giants currently are.

it's not like the Padres have been hitting all year HWood......they've been doing it with Spitching, BP, running, and defense....a few of those things have gone away, and others stopped altogether. The hitting hasn't really changed too much
that doesn't make a 1-0 loss followed by only scoring 2 off Dempster any more comforting.
