Padres Rumor spreading in Seattle and San Diego...

I lost my link to the Seattle paper saying this, but there is a rumor of Brett Boone coming back to San Diego. Does anyone out there have more information ? I personally think this is a bad move. DJ is playing very well lately, and 2nd base isn't our biggest hole to fill IMO.......

    Any thoughts out there ??

Yeah this trade just doesn't make sense since Loretta will be back this year. Also I remember that the Padres weren't adding payroll. There is also talk of Boone going to Minnesota.

I hope they trade the hell out of Boone. Send him to Italy, the fact is we got a guy (Jose Lopez) who can play right now.

He better than Boone right now. if they trade Boone they can make room for Lopez. He needs AB's until then. We were winning with the youth then Boone comes back and it all goes to hell.

Well it appears that those talks have quieted a little......I still think that is a hole that doesn't need attention. DJ is filling in just fine, Young will be back soon and both are capable 2nd baseman for a short haul........ our 3rd base spot needs to be delt with, and I'm not trying to come down on Burroughs, but you either produce or you don't play........this is MLB and we're a 1st place team, for now. We also need to deal with our problem with this rotation.........May and Redding are a mess, I'll leave it at that........BLaw has pitched very well since he came under fire, hopefully that's all he needed.....

COME ON TOWERS, COME ON ALDERSON............ Pull it out, and use it before our lead is gone.........good god
