    Yes, they did. They retired his number because of his time in Milwaukee with the Milwaukee Braves in '75-'76.

    That was kind of what I was hinting at.

    Honoring a player who played in the same city, even if it was for a different franchise, which is why it actually wouldn't be that big of a deal should the Mets decide to honor Mays, or that they're honoring Jackie Robinson.
