    Please.

You're talking apples and oranges here.

Canada and the United States are two separate sovereign countries that expand for thousands of miles.

Anaheim and LA are 26 miles apart and are two cities in one state.

Los Angeles is the 2nd largest city in the United States.

Anaheim is only slightly bigger than Chula Vista.

Don't be confused......just know that Anaheim isn't apart of LA, or LA county and that it shouldn't have LA as apart of it's name

    Yeah, what he said.

Just as long as you know that Anaheim isn't LA and isn't a part of LA county, but is a part of the LA Metro Area you'll be fine.

Anaheim is only 1.3 miles further away from LA than Long Beach is from LA.

If not for lines arbitrarily drawn on a piece of paper nobody would be but-hurt that people associate a city that's only slightly larger than San Diego suburb Chula Vista with the 2nd largest city in the United States.

    Re: Los Angeles-Anaheim discussion

It started in the Jake Peavy thread after it was mentioned that Jake Peavy wouldn't mind a trade to the Angels because "LA is an ideal fit for him"

Mofo's "first post" was in response to that.

The discussion was born so I made it its own thread and moved all the Jake Peavy discussion to the thread GiantsFanatic already started before LTR started one on the same topic.

Right, that is sooooo unlike the method of lumping an arbitrary radius of neighborhoods from a large city and calling it a "greater metro area."

It's all arbitrary, which is kind of my point.

The bottom line is, Anaheim is a small city located 25 miles away from the nation's 2nd largest metropolis.

It's only natural for it to be associated with Los Angeles.

    Re: Los Angeles-Anaheim discussion

We're not discussing sovereign countries here.

Heck, we're not even discussing states.

    County borders are pretty arbitrary.

I mean, I don't think Orange County and LA county were divided by the OC-LA wars or anything.
