    No respect.

Has anyone gotten the new Baseball Preview edition of Sports Illustrated? I open up the mag and SI has their rankings for this season. The Padres are 18th overall, which is stupid. SI is stupid. Tom Verducci is stupid. Stupid stupid stupid.

    Here's how it goes:

    1. Yankees
    2. Red Sox
    3. Braves
    4. Cardinals
    5. Twins
    6. Angels
    7. Giants
    8. Marlins
    9. Cubs
    10. Indians
    11. Astros
    12. Mets
    13. Dodgers
    14. Rangers (WTF?)
    15. Athletics
    16. Phillies
    17. White Sox
    18. Padres

Stupid. The Padres are much better than the Giants, Marlins, Cubs, Indians, Astros, Mets, Dodgers, Rangers (LOL), A's, Phillies, and White Sox. They should be top 8 at least if not higher.

I'm going to cancel my subscription (though it's free).

    Disgusting.

I'll admit I'm a bit of a homer. Although I'm a big anti-homer... but the Padres are far better than the 18th best team in the league...

I know we have our question marks in the lineup, regarding production from Giles/Klesko/Nevin..

and the no. 5 spot in the rotation, Adam Eaton.. etc.

    But thats just ugh..

The Padres will prove people wrong in a hurry...
    Nobody lookin out for nobody
Maybe we should try and help somebody or be somebody
Instead of being somebody that makes the news
So everybody can tweet about it
And then they start to R.I.P. about it
And four weeks later nobody even speaks about it.

Media is built of fools..........let them have us as the underdog......all I know is that Vegas has us as 8-1 to win the NL........not the NLWest, the NL........odds makers don't have the luxury of being biased so I'll stick with that.

Padres might be underdogs but everyone and their mom knows they are contenders even if it doesn't look that way to some dumbass SI article. If SI says it, I bet the other. Padres are the one team that scares me in the NL West, even if they did have a losing slugfest with Colorado Nady looked great.

Loretta's 2005 was terrible, in hindsight. Nicely done, Leo.
