Re: Should the Pads have kept Milton Badley?

Let's not pretend like every one of his incidents involved someone unnecessarily baiting him, now.

The broadcaster may have been out of line, but in the end Milton Bradley is responsible for Milton Bradley's actions.

If he doesn't allow someone else's actions to goat him into blowing up then it's not a problem.

And the broadcaster may have been out of line, but there's no telling the next time he blows up after an umpire "baits" him by making a bad call...

I'm sorry but how was the broadcaster out of line? Nothing he said was untrue or even harmful.

Being true doesn't mean it needs to be said on air.

And he can highlight Josh Hamilton living a better life while succeeding without mentioning Milton in the process.

He was making a comparison to his teammate and nothing was even remotely offensive. Its not like he attacked the guy or said anything menacing.

And why is Milton listening to a broadcast during the game? His inability to listen to the truth is his problem. The only one out of line was Milton himself.

No need to slam Bradley's character (even if it is a true statement) while praising Josh's.

    Exactly.

Milton's only proving the guy's point by reacting.

He's just reiterating whatever one knows. He had no negative intent.

How do you know what his intent was?

And regardless of what his intent was it was still inappropriate IMO.

Lots of bad deeds are done with good intentions. (Or at least without bad intent)

If you would kindly point me to where I've done that I'll gladly refrain from doing so in the future.

I know what his intent was by listening to the damn broadcast. It was not inappropriate in the least bit and cannot understand how it could be. It was about Josh Hamilton and he compared him to his teammate. Everything he said was true and it was more about Hamilton than Bradley. I guess now if someone points out the obvious about Bradley,a ballplayer during a ballgame, its inappropriate. Its not like this guy just came out and said You know what? Bradley is a classless jerk who never learns his lesson. There was no malice intent, nothing harmful said and it was appropriate to the point the guy was making about Hamilton.

No you don't. You only know what you precieved to be his intent by listening to the broadcast.

There is only one person on the face of this planet that knows what his intent was.

He can praise Josh Hamilton's character without demeaning Milton's, even if it was a true statement (about Milton.)

Doesn't mean it was neccesary to point it out.

To be fair, I don't really think the comment was that far out of line, and it certainly didn't warrant Milton's almost reaction, but I do think it didn't need to be said.

I'll take what I clearly heard, the man's word for it and his partners. If that guy was trying to be mean and attack Bradley, he did the worst job of it. If I got pissed at every broadcaster that brought up Bonds' troubles even though they were true, I would have blown my ****ing head off!! Its not needed to be said. Ballplayers during a ballgame are fair game.

Are you assuming I'm pissed in any way about what the guy said?
