The bullpen did a great job allowing 1 run in 8 innings especially Rusch who pitched 4 of those 8.

He did a good job in the 22 inning game as well.

Maybe he's only good when everyone's worn out.

Great pitcher's duel today with Webb getting the timely outs. Peavy got more K's and less walks but gave up two runs to Webb's one. Padres lose 2-1.

One bad pitch cost Jake the game.

Pads had the chances to take the lead but didn't get the key hit which is a shame because Peavey threw a great game.

Ouch. Padres at 10-16 are one game up on last place in baseball. And they kick off a big ass road trip with 16 of the next 19 games away from Petco! Maybe going to hitter-friendly Philadelphia will help cure the hitting woes.

Games away from PetCo might be a good thing.

I was at that nightmare yesterday...... 92 degrees.......40k+........Peavy threw a great game and made ONE mistake that was deposted 1 row down 2 seats over from me ( I was next to the bullpen yesterday ) .....and again......this team sucks....I'm changing my prediction from Giants losing 100 to Padres losing 100
