Cain was pissed but probably looked at the scoreboard and got over it quickly Then of course our bullpen had to blow the game for him. The bat toss was a bit much but didn't bother me. GF83 was probably taking his rage on blowing the game out on the Hairston toss.

Good game....Gnats get timely hitting last to win it.....another base running blunder might have cost the Padres.....I sure hope Black has these guys out there early practicing 'baserunning 101' skills.......so far baserunning blunder have cost us at least 3 runs, and arguably 2 games.

I enjoyed the whole conversation regarding the Hairston bat toss, it really cracked me when you consider it was against a team that had one of the biggest dill weeds at the plate everytime he hit a homer standing there admiring it and then yes, tossing his bat. LOL

It appears the Padres handled Lincecum fine, it was Moina who they couldnt contain.

Whats so funny thats a good line, it's not great. When he throws up Peavy numbers like a complete game or 16 K's than you can yuk it up but whats so impressive with that? 7 hits should have turned into more than 1er, so I would argue that it wasnt that he was great and that the Padres offense fell apart at the wrong times, but thats my opinion.

Getting yourself out of jams is part of good pitching.

    Lincecum had a good line.

I wouldn't call it a dominant line, but it was definitely a good one.

It was too screwy for me to type it out......so I just went to the Padres site and shazam there it was........you frigg'n lazy butt

Gonzalez and Kouzmanoff opened the inning with singles off Giants starting pitcher Tim Lincecum, who allowed one run in six innings with seven strikeouts, brandishing a nasty changeup to go along with his mid-90s fastball.

Lincecum then hit Jim Edmonds with a pitch to load the bases. Khalil Greene then lifted a fly ball to left field that sent Daniel Ortmeier backpedaling toward the wall. The hit went in and out of Ortmeier's glove as a run scored to cut the Giants' lead to 2-1.

But Kouzmanoff, who was on second base, thought Ortmeier made the catch. The Giants (2-6) got the ball back into the infield and got a forceout on Kouzmanoff at third base for the first out. Lincecum then got the next two hitters out to end the inning.

"I saw it go into his glove and I immediately went back to tag up," Kouzmanoff said. "I saw Edmonds at second base. I don't know what happened."

Neither did Padres manager Bud Black, who said there was a division of opinion inside the dugout on whether Ortmeier made the catch.

"I thought that he caught it," Black said. "The guys on the bench were wondering what happened, too."
Kouz was just so damn good on defense last night, that he got a pass by many......

Also WHAT a double play last night.....AGon to Kouz

It also happens to be the correct opinion....... The Padres ran themselves out of a scoring opportunity, and ran Lincecum back into the game.....If we push across even one more run it likely changes everything for them....knowing Bochy he pulls the young kid and goes to his bullpen quickly at that point.
