Enough with the "hitters ballpark". Each player plays 82 at home and 82 on the road. I put up supporting numbers for Jenkins, matched them up against the same number of AB's from Mike Cameron and Adrian Gonzalez and still get shot down?
Give the kid from Fresno a little credit for doing his homework. Can you shoot me down with anything othen than the ballpark?

The size change of a ballpark will directly affect a players......

OBP
BA
RBI
and defense
This is why adding an aging, lefty hitting, crappy away from Mil splits guy, who is starting the backside of his career is such a horrible idea. We tried that once, it didn't workout so well, and that person was a substantially better player to start with.
Pads is, sadly, right.
Jenkins is looking for a multi-year deal anyway, and probably wouldn't be a fit. A one year deal would have to up his value, and playing 81 games in Petco isn't going to help it at all.
He'll probably end up in Pittsburgh. *sigh*
Pitt would be a good fit.........they suck and it's a bandbox
Kansas City's pursuing him, I think

Yeah he's on the downside of his career, such as Vinny Castilla, Brian Giles, etc, etc, etc. He may still have a bit of game in him, but there is no upside, the chances he will start to lose his edge and game are greater than they are that he will get better such as Kooz and Gonzalez will. He's peaked already, let him go. I'm tired of these 1 year rentals, they dont help add any continuity to a team for the guys who are young and will be around for awhile.
