My uncle is a recently retired fireman living in Rancho Penasquitos. From what I've heard, he's been called in for backup? I dunno...

I am sorry to hear that... Hope he and the rest of the fire fighters stay safe.

Got word that my grandparents in Mira Mesa (they are 90 and 86 years old respectively) and my uncles and cousins have to evacuate tonight...

Not good times.

Well my dad told me to start packing in case we have to evacuate. We can see the smoke from our house

Hrmmm...apparently my uncle (the retired fireman) packed up his things and drove north with his wife. My dad's all pissed off at him right now for not staying around to help my grandparents.

Well as you probablly guessed the Charger practice was cancled today. They are going to practice in Arizona. Their next home game VS the Texans might be moved as well.

that sounds like some scary crap. i hope the fire fighters and other rescue workers contain the fire asap! I will pray for all in Southern California.
