Did you see the lineup though? XX lost Josh Rosenburg, Chris Ello and Mike Costa. I saw a lot of posts saying the morning guys are going to be the downfall of XX.

I don't listen to the radio much, if at all, and now that I'm living in Arkansas I obviously don't listen to any San Diego radio, so with all that said I could very well be wrong....but isn't 1090 really the only option in San Diego radio?

If this new station were to acquire rights to actually broadcast games I can see them being a legit threat....or at the very least have a legit opportunity to be one.

San Diego isn't big enough for two sports stations.......... 690 proved that.......they held the title for 20+ years, and had two LA buffoons not crippled the station causing 1090am to be born, they'd still have a strangle hold on the market here..........now 1090 is the mega-giant, and they have the Padres locked up......while the Chargers are on FM and likley will remain there..........so what's left in sports here to broadcast ? College ? Nobody cares here about college sports here unless the name USC is involved........so I don't see how they could possibly succeed.........unless 1090 shits the bed somehow

Remember, 1090 is carrying the Notre Dame football games as well. Not that I'm an Irish fan, VERY far from it as I'm sure most of you know.
