Re: holiday never touched home proff...

they made a site for this?

    I'm not sweating it.

It was a bum call, but with the way Trevor was pitching I'm sure he would've given up the run on the next batter anyways.

Best case scenario they would've been going more innings after handing Trevor a 2 run lead to protect.

Does no good to look back at it and say "what if". It's done and over with, good luck to the Rockies.

Got to give props to this guy anyways. Not only did he register a domain name (hollidaynevertouchedhomeplate.com), but he also put out two 5-minute YouTube videos with multiple slo-motion replays and zoom-ins and wrote a three-page essay about his findings.

Sorry but that footage still doesn't look conclusive to me. Also, why doesn't he show the back end of the plater where Holliday might have touched?

Damn, you know 1st this is old news. Rockies are going to the NLCS and will win it. Why would Matt say his hand was stepped on IF he did not touch the plate. His hand had to slip in under the foot of the catcher. Hell I will give the guy props for posting all of that footage and the website..

You're aware that his hand could have been stepped on when it was not touching the plate, right?

It didn't show the whole damn play. I simply said I'd like to see an angle from the backside of the plate.

Hand never got passed the foot
    Foot was never on homeplate
    Hand was under foot
Hand was never on home plate

What's not a tough concept to understand is that Garret Atkins was robbed of a homer in the 6th or 7th inning. You win some, you lose some.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

So ... you're admitting that Holliday never touched home plate.

Just a week ago you guys were saying that his hand couldn't have been under his foot. I'll say it again, did he touch the plate? I have no idea but that replay didn't really convince me one way or another. And I realize that bringing up the Atkins homerun is the cool thing to do for the supporters of the Rockies or whatever, I think it still is chickenshit. Shit happens (yea I bet it is a shitty feeling but the umpire had the best position in the house to call the play). Get the **** over it already it happened a week ago.
