When did a debate over those two start ?
According what I've heard, it may cost the Padres Cla Meredith and/or Joe Thatcher. That could be just a rumor, but that's apparently what the Sox are looking for.

This is mainly for PFF, I was trying to find the other player that the Padres were interested in from the Angels....Nathan Haynes was the name I was thinking of.
The Padres might have a better chance of swinging a deal with the Angels, who have two players -- Reggie Willits and Nathan Haynes -- who are center field types. Willits can play all three spots and hit leadoff, while Haynes is regarded as a very good defensive center fielder.

Crisp is noone's golden boy, Reefer. He's definetely a good option for the Padres in CF, but in no way is he the golden boy.
