Whether or not he touched the plate is irrelevant for 2 reasons.

1 - A player is not allowed to impede the runner's path to the plate unless he is holding the baseball. Michael Barrett was blocking home plate and was not holding the baseball.

2 - The way Trevor was pitching, odds are he would have given up the run on the next pitch anyways.

I'm not going to get in the middle of this debate as I could really care less, the Padres ****ed up and did them selves in multiple ways, it's really not worth arguing about.

With that said, do not attempt to fool anyone by pretending you were not rooting for the Rockies.

The Cubs, Yankees, Red Sox, Indians and Phillies are all in and these are teams enriched with history. Great for the game!!!

Pick Braun..........thats fine........thats far from what the debate was about and you know it.........but backpeddle all you need ....... I'm sure Bowser would love to pick up where you two left off.......You know.....with Tulo having no shot at the ROY according to you, and him saying it's just closer than you're letting on.......

The argument was whether or not he was the clearcut favorite. If everyone said they were going to vote for him, was I really wrong for saying he was the clear cut favorite? No backpeddling needed.

I'm sorry for saying that Braun was the clear cut favorite since almost every guy who has a vote said they were voting for him at the time. I cannot believe I would say the obvious. I am always man enough to say when I'm wrong and if you once ever ventured out of this forum you would see it. Plus what I said is saying I was wrong, its not supposed to be an apology. Nothing to be sorry for.

I don't need to venture outside the Padres forum..........it's the entire reason I'm here........to talk to other Padre fans about the Padres........when I did venture outside the Padres forum.......I found the same person arguing with someone else.......what a shock.......why venture out when I can see that here

Just for my own information, who's everyone Reefer? I certainly don't think Braun is a clear cut favorite for the ROY. I think Tulo should have a legit shot at it. Braun may be a big hitter, but he's a butcher defensively, Tulo can do both, as he showed on one play ranging to his right on Monday night. I'd vote for Tulo, no question about it.

The non HR was a non HR it hit the front of the pole and bounced back in because it didnt clear the rail. The reason why it looked as if it was over the yellow line is because the yellow bag hanging on the pole was sagging down just enough it was on top of the yellow bag, but below the pole on the rail, no home run. Ours went the other way, out of the field yours came in, but I do agree and think we got a call on that HR.

We're going to agree to disagree then because I am seeing things you aren't and you are seeing things I am not. Sagging yellow bags?

As others have said, both teams *apparently* got breaks, so it washes out. It was a great game to watch, and both teams really wanted it.
