Your saying Cassel is goin to lose to a guy with a 12+ ERA, no way. Call the sweep again... Dont forget either guys, we have owned Francis, and that will continue.

I forgot that Maddux tweaked his back, so that could be a bad thing, but if the bats show up against Francis like they normally do, it doesnt matter who is on the bump, we can still win that game.

If we nullify the bats of Atkins, Helton & Holliday....we sweep........if we don't..........we lose 2 of 3.........this is where my quandry is........will we stop the guys that have completely torn us to pieces even in Petco ? I'd like to say yes.........but I'm having a hard time doing that.......

I guess what I will do is say this.......since we're back to full strength in our lineup.........I'll call sweep.........but if we can't stop those 3 guys I mentioned........ w-l-l

Keep in mind they tore us apart when we were playing poor baseball. We are all of a sudden playing very well, so I will guess they dont rip us like they did before, at least I hope not.

    Maddux tweaked his back?

I hope it's nothing serious. We need him come October. (Don't misread that as me jumping to conclusions in regards to the season, just saying that should the Padres be there they need Jake, CY, and Maddux to be healthy.)

    Re: Rockies@Padres 9/21/07-9/23/07

Maddux had a MRI and nothing came of it so he should be fine. I am really looking forward to this series as the Rockies' season is on the line. Even if they just take 2 of 3 they still have a good chance. Holliday (MVP) facing off againts Peavy (Cy Young) will be great to watch. Can't believe people are still talking about Reyes and Wright having a shot at MVP when they have completely melted down this month, a huge month for any playoff bound team. However which way it goes I am going to enjoy this series, even if Cassel and Bautista are pitching game two.

    Re: Rockies@Padres 9/21/07-9/23/07

I didnt make one, but if I made one it might be Win (can't go against Peavy), Win (Bautistas ERA is through the roof and with the way we are hitting lately we should add to it), and Win (because historically we have owned Francis).

    Sweep.

I think you guys should sweep us. The Rockies are bound for a meltdown.
