Wake up on the wrong side of the bed Reefer? First, I never said Jeff Weaver has been great at any point, I said he pitched better in the NL than he did in the AL and that's pretty true statement. He was HORRIBLE in the first couple of months with Seattle, has had some rough outings in the past few weeks, but has also had some really good games as well.

As for Randy Johnson, he may not have been 100% in NY, but there are few pitchers that can handle that kind of media crunch, I just don't think RJ was one of them.

Also, I didn't say Chan Ho Park was a God sent for us did I? I said "he wasn't lights out", but Park did make some good outings for us when he was around.

I guess we'll never know what Igawa can do in a Padre uniform since the Yankees nixed the trade earlier today.

Am I the only one surprised that there's almost zero interest in Willy Mo Pena?

I'm not trying to get PFF all worked up again, I'm just curious as to why there aren't any teams out there that have asked about him.

Nope, just said what I had to say. Weaver sucks, Johnson's back, knees and groin had more to do with his performance than NY media. That and him playing in the cold weather unlike AZ. And Park was 90% shit for the Pads.

It's a stab at Rafael Palmeiro. I guess you don't know that story? Oh well.

Watch game film if you can and see him get rocked.

Still can't make the comparison since Zito has been proven for a long time as Igawa wasn't but I'll humor you. This year alone, would you trade Meredith for Zito? Didn't think so!!

If Zito only made 4M......yes .........but since he's vastly overpaid for what he brings to the table......he's a bad investment........but you probably know that by now

Reefer, dude, you fail again to read what I said. I compared them this year, not their careers. Yes, this is Igawa's first year, but why can't I compare them for their performance THIS SEASON?

No I read it quite well. You can try but are very different situations as I have already mentioned. Now answer my question

Re: Padres claim Kai Igawa off waivers

I'm confused, how are they different situations? I know Zito has success in the past, but we both agree that he sucks this year, right?

Now, to answer your question. If a deal is offered, Cla Meredith for Barry Zito straight up? Hell yes I'd take the deal, are you kidding me? That's the most lopsided deal, would never be offered by San Fran, but if I'm KT and Sabean offers that deal to me straight up. I'd be very very tempted. That being said, if Sabean wanted Meredith and someone like Khalil Greene, Jake Peavy or Chris Young...I'd tell Sabean to go jump into McCovey Cove.
