    Accoring to the Houston Chronicle...

"Jose_de_Jesus_Ortiz: Mark Loretta and one of the relievers will probably get shipped off for an outfielder and a third baseman. They'll be looking for prospects who will be able to help them for the next couple of years" (possibly Branyan/Cruz Jr or Sledge?)

When asked what the Astros could get for Loretta....

Jose_de_Jesus_Ortiz: I know the Mets are interested. I'm sure there are others. They could probably get a second-tier prospect for him right now.

Can the Padres only move a "second-tier" prospect for Loretta? If that's the case, you can move Linebrink in a bigger deal for another bat.
Do you really think they'd want him with the way he's been pitching?

I mean, sure, if they (Houston) would take that deal then I'm for it....I just kind of doubt it.

    Who's crying?

Why must I be crying just because I'm not as light hearted on them losing?

I have the same perspective in terms of it just being a game....but I still don't laugh when they lose.

(Not trying to criticize you for doing so, that's just me. Wouldn't have responded to your response, but I took a bit of exception to the insinuation that I was crying.)

Seriously Wood are you having a bad day, really lighten up, I am just playing with you. I dont laugh when we lose, I am glad I didnt see the game last night, I probably would have put my foot through the television.

Part of the problem here is you responded to a post I directed towards PFF. He and I chat alot outside of this public arena, so when I was laughing, at or with him, he knew what I was saying and knows how I feel about the Padres wins and losses.

I was laughing at his optimism about sweeping the series and starting our run towards a WS. With the current offensive woes and pitching struggles, I thought what he said was funny, but it certainly doesnt reflect my fandome (PFF theres that word again).

I like to laugh, sorry if that upsets you...

Cook just threw a 74 pitch CG in Coors field............

I've said it on every forum I hit.....I'm calling it

July 25th, unless a major move is made, this team is done this year. The pitching came back to earth, and our offense is horrific....so unless they right the ship by changing the personell, this season is over.

Well on a positive note, the Dawg gets another successful series prediction. Wish I was wrong, but I saw it coming.
