*Bonds is set to become the alltime HR leader this year, and doesn't want to partake in the HR Derby, which happens to be in his own ballpark This should be a lesson to all the Bonds jock holders, and people on the fence about him as to what kind of clown this guy truly is. He's snubbing his own fanbase in his hometown, during a historic season, in an event that is taylor made for him......

I sure hope this opens the eyes of the few left out there than think this guy walks on water..........If not, I'm very glad he's snubbing you and raping you of your last chance to see him perform in maybe the biggest public forum which was created to showcase skills such as say..........the HOME RUN.......The true King of the HR would never bow out of a HR Derby........Bonds is proving once and for all he's just a poser who doesn't belong at the top of any list outside a courtroom

Maybe he'll reconsider and participate.....it's the RIGHT thing to do considering who he is, the record he's about to break, and where the game is being played

I agree that Bonds should have participated in the event, for no other reason than it's at his home ball park in front of his own fans. Is this event becoming just as much of a joke as the Slam Dunk competition? Does anyone know the list of players that are in this besides Ryan Howard and Prince Fielder?

Yea,I certainly didn't mean that we had anyone who deserved to be!
Also,my point was,with the way Petco plays,I doubt we will ever have a big time slugger.We probably won't draft the type,and FA sluggers won't sign here.

Wouldn't that be nice.......My guess is that when he finally breaks out and into the guy we hope he is.......he'll be more of a doubles machine to all fields w/ some HR power.......not necessarily a big HR guy........especially playing his career in Petco.....but who knows
