Wow.......I don't see us losing any of those starts, but I have a hard time calling a 4 game sweep with this offense......

I like that you included the total w/l on your tally, JayDawg

my winning percentage doesn't look so bad on that side.

    Re: Marlins@Padres 7/2/07-7/5/07

It's hard to do I agree, but I gotta call a 4 game sweep here. My only concern would be the first game because you never really know what you are going to get with fatty on the mound, and Maddux goes back and forth between wins and losses, and a we like to make bad pitchers look really good, but damn a 4 game sweep at home is not unlikely and would be nice going into the break soon, especially with the Dogs going 4 with the Braves...

Lets go Padres, get the brooms out.

Just a question, then to my predictions. Do you have to get the exact games right or as long as you call 2-2 or 3-1 in the series?

Ok boys and girls...I know a lot of you anxiously await my famous predictions, so here they are.

    Game 1: Marlins 5 Padres 3

Game 2: Maddux is, well, Maddux. Padres 6 Marlins 1

Game 3: CY shows his All Star stuff Padres 5 Marlins 0

Game 4: Atta boy Jake Padres 7 Marlins 1

What a lopsided matchup that last one is!
My first game loss is not because of Wells but moreso because Mitre is the kind of guy who we may not hit.Young, talented pitcher who we may have never faced.
I'm with you guys though,we could just sweep this thing, but the Marlins offense can be pretty potent.......and ours.........well,ours really can't!
D-Backs are on the road in St Luwey,Dodgers clash with the Braves. We could make a little move here before the break?!

L-W-W-W. Mitre will be too much for the Padres. The rest of the games should be OK.

To get credit for the series you have to predict the exact outcome. I threw the totals in because I was curious to see how accurate we were in total, I am thinking of becoming a book maker.

Don't kid yourself, Kim had a really good outing against Atlanta on Sunday. He's not a bad pitcher, plus, the Padres seem to make even the worst pitchers look like Cy Young.

    I'll take my chances!

    Re: Marlins@Padres 7/2/07-7/5/07

Peavy can't help the rest off the offense score runs. Peavy may shut out the Marlins or give up just 1 run, but if our offense can't put together 3 or 4 runs for Jake, then he's not going to matter much is he?
