He's had "problems with stamina down the stretch" in years in which he wasn't at the All Star Game.
What makes you think this year would be any different?

I don't.......which is why I'm suggesting he NOT do MORE than years past......and instead take that time to recharge his ****ING batteries
And I do fully understand what you're trying to say.
It's been noted and disregarded as I don't think the 3 days will have that type of affect on his season.
Brian Fuentes over Chris Young? Are you freaking kidding me? The Rockies brought in Fuentes down 10-0 to the Giants yesterday and HE STILL GAVE UP 2 RUNS. The starters (Peavy, Penny, Hamels, Sheets, Smoltz) looks good, but I don't know about the bullpen.
Maybe CY and his wife need "FU" teeshirts :D
Rockies didn't play the Giants yesterday and I agree with Pads...somewhat. I am all for pitchers getting rest whenever they can. I have to, my team is old. I don't think it's going to change anything but what the **** could it hurt. No risk involved with him chilling at his house with friends and family. Going to the All Star game includes 3 days of interviews, events, autographs, partying and much more bullshit we know nothing about. He does deserve it over Fuentes no doubt about it. I will vote for him but if he doesn't make it, more power to him. Remember Hoffman had a rough week after blowing the ASG last year.
Ah crap.......it's that time of the year when Reefer and I start agreeing.....
*vomit:laugh:
Hurry and post something in another thread:D
I will reiterate that I won't be heartbroken if CY doesn't get in and the extra rest is definitely silver lining.
I just don't think the benefit of the 3 days of rest is enough to keep me from voting for him.
