    I don't know.

Our offense does have a propensity to beat up on the guys that were supposed to be good.

Even despite Beckett owning them yesterday.

But yeah, they are pretty up and down.

    That was a shitty loss.

They need to beat the last place team if they want to win this division.

I really am tired of spending 3 hours of my day watching them lose like that. Come on, Germano throws a good game, Linestink loses the lead and then they lose. Why the hell didnt Black pull Hampson, every batter got a hit off of him.

Hampson was just about to get out of his own jam. There didn't appear to be any reason to pull him.

It's easy to say he should've with our 20/20 hindsight, but he had 2 outs and all he had to do was retire Feliz.

    Too bad he didn't.

Yah.....I didn't see him pulling Hampson either.....and had KG been positioned differently, that groundball to straight up SS would have been an out......not sure where KG was actually

Well the way I see it, he wasnt about to get out of the jam because he let those two on base to begin with, there should have been a pitcher on the mound that could get the KO, and he wasnt the guy, but I am not a ML coach so I am sure what he did was right by the book and my reaction would have been knee jerk, but I was yelling at the TV to get him out of the game, and I guess I was right...

If they hadn't used Meredith, Linebrink & Bell already, you might be right, but we were heading into what appeared to be an extra inning nightmare, and you can't just use up your bullpen on one hitter......the guys actually have to handle their situations......burn everyone up and you have nobody left

    Re: Padres@Giants 6/25/07-6/27/07

I was starting to want him out when he had 2 on and no outs, but then he proceeded to retire 2 in a row.

Fact is, the game winning hit was a ground ball and, like pff said, if Khalil was positioned better it would've been the 3rd out.

I don't blame Bud for not pulling him. You can't have short leashes on relievers in extra inning games, otherwise you run out of them and you're stuck.

You live or die with the reliever you choose to start the inning with, especially when you're the away team. He either gives up the run or he doesn't.

Well one thing is for sure now.......this offense can't rely on the bullpen....they need to score early, often, and late if they want to win games......

Lincecum out pitched Germano who had good stuff last night. I like that kid. We tried to give it to the pads.
