Kouz is currently 3rd in the NL in Errors........and last in FPCT........granted if he makes the next 40 attempts without an error he'll change his spot in both......but right now.....he's far from "pretty good"

Have we been watching a different Kouz?

I mean, he's no gold glover for sure, but he's been more than adequate from what I've witnessed.

I recall lamenting on many occasions throughout his April swoons about how ironic it was that he sucked offensively but was good defensively when we were being told it'd be the other way around.

He had a bad series from what I understand, but I didn't watch any of the games against Seattle.

He's had a bad month and a half.......yes in Apl he was doing just fine.....sadly we don't just get to look at Apl.......hard to argue certain stats......

He's one of the worst fielding, if not the worst right now in the NL.....based on Errors and Fpct........again......this could still change........he could go the next 40-60 attempts without an error, and this will all correct itself...but as of today......he's poor in the field according to stats

Fielding stats are probably the most misleading stats in sports. (Not that i'm arguing against your assessment, as I was basing mine off pure memory of seeing him make plays/not **** up a lot.)

    Re: Padres@Devil Rays 6/12/07-6/14/07

He's made some pretty terrible throwing errors......and AGon has almost saved a few of his errors for him, but even AGon wasn't able too......

I'd suggest that if he were mashing the ball........nobody would even bother too look......but he's not so they are.....whoever "they" are

And if he plays flawless ball over the next 40-60 attempts he'll nolonger be in that grouping simply because his attempts are lower than some others at this point

Dude I pulled the stats, he has a .915 FPCT in 50 games. All the other players around him have played like 9-13 games. He has the worst FPCT in MLB for players with more than 20 games. He is making an error almost 1 out of every 10 games. I mean sure he has made a few good plays, but the reality is he is the worst in baseball.

Cabrera & Zimmerman both have more errors than Kouzmanoff.......but they have both also played in more games ( 9 & 12) and have had more attempts ( 107 & 131) which is why I said if he plays flawless D for the next 40-60 attempts he'll nolonger be in this situation and his Fpct will go up quite a bit....

For instance if he makes the next 60 PO without making an error or recording an assist his fpct will go up to .951

Also if he were producing with the bat like Cabrera.......we'd over look his defense like the Marlins and everyone does where Miggy is concerned

    Re: Padres@Devil Rays 6/12/07-6/14/07

Thats kind of obvious, his trend is on a downward slope, so like his hitting, unless he pulls his head out of his ass, his FPCT will keep going down with an error every 10th game. I for one hope he gets it all right, because I am kind of getting tired of seeing everyone coddle poor little Kouz the rookie, and gee he seems like a great guy with a lot of potential, phooey, someone needs to kick him in the ass, tell him to man up and start playing like a pro or step aside.

Not the pitching as a whole.

Cla has, while Brocail is simply regressing to the mean.
