I'm going with L - W - W. While Batista has a high ERA, he has a winning record, and like PFF I think his unbeaten streak is bound to end. Weaver is a mess this season so I think Boomer gets that one, and who can argue against Young at home, especially with the way we roughed up King Felix last time.

    Re: Mariners@Padres 6/8/07-6/10/07

I think Germano keeps it going in Game 1: Padres 5 Mariners 1.

Wells gives up 3, but Weaver struggles again: Padres 7 Mariners 3

Young throws 8 innings of shutout ball, Padres score late: Padres 2 Mariners 1...Trevor gets # 501.

Couldn't expect Germano to maintain a sub-2 ERA forever, I suppose

Hopefully the offense comes through at the end of this game.

Well that was depressing as hell to witness....... that Sledge HR landed in two seats in front of me and damn near killed a little girl who wasn't watching.......it somehow slammed into her seat but missed her.....not sure how it's even possible for that to happen, but it did.....two of us reached as far as would could to try and knock it down, but we couldn't reach......I just KNEW she was going to be smashed.........whew.......someone somewhere was looking out for her

Anyone hear Chris Ello over the weekend? He was accusing Padre fans of "wanting offense but not caring about wins". I think he missed the whole point of the "adding a bat" concept.

    Re: Mariners@Padres 6/8/07-6/10/07

He went on this whole rant about how Padre fans should be happy, that the Padres haven't had 3 straight winning season in franchise history, why are we complaining. You'd think he was telling Padre fans that we shouldn't expect to try and contend for a World Series?
