Fastball:Schmidt's fastball sits at around 91 mph.
Slider:Schimdt wasn't able to throw his breaking stuff in his first start, partially because of temperatures that were around 30 degrees..
Changeup:An above-average offering to go along with his fastball.
Control:Usually his forte, but Schmidt never got a good feel in his three innings against Louisiana Tech, walking five.
Physical Description:Big, tall, workhorse of a lefty.
Medical Update:Healthy.
Strengths:command of his fastball and changeup, usually. With the cold and under a strict pitch count of 65, he never got going in this start.
Weaknesses:His breaking stuff. Schmidt will have to show the ability to throw his slider more consistently to stay high on draft charts.
Summary:Schmidt deserves a bit of a mulligan because of the conditions and the fact that it was just his first outing of the year. But he'll have to show that slider as the season wears on.

Summary:Kulbacki had a huge sophomore season when he hit .464 with 24 home runs. He's followed it up with an outstanding junior season, good timing for a year with a weak college hitting class. While not a bad defender, it's definitely his bat that will carry him, and it should carry him quite far.

Power: He has below-average power.
Running Speed: His best tool. Cumberland has plus, plus running speed.
Base Running: He's not just fast, he knows how to use his speed well on the bases.
Arm Strength: His arm is usable, but he has slightly below-average arm strength. He has to throw on the run to get something extra on it.
Arm Accuracy: Some bad footwork leads Cumberland to have slightly below-average accuracy.
Fielding: Cumberland is inconsistent with his fielding and scouts are split over whether he'll have to move to second or perhaps center field, where his speed would play better.
Range: Because of his tremendous speed, Cumberland does have plus range.
Physical Description: Cumberland is an athletic, fairly small, leadoff type and has a body type that looks a bit like a taller Brian Roberts.
Medical Update: Cumberland was hampered by a hamstring problem late in the season, but it was not considered serious.
Strengths: His speed and his makeup.
Weaknesses: He doesn't seem to have a true defensive home. Is he a shortstop, a second baseman or a center fielder?
Summary: Cumberland is one the faster players in this year's draft class and will get a long look from some because of his leadoff potential. He makes good contact, though he'll never hit for power and is simply a solid baseball player who plays the game right. His main drawback is where he fits in defensively, but whether it's at short, second or in the outfield, many think his speed game will play anywhere.

Arm Strength: His arm is usable, but he has slightly below-average arm strength. He has to throw on the run to get something extra on it.
Arm Accuracy: Some bad footwork leads Cumberland to have slightly below-average accuracy.
Fielding: Cumberland is inconsistent with his fielding and scouts are split over whether he'll have to move to second or perhaps center field, where his speed would play better.
