    Matt Bush Update ( and it's good )

    I've found these in a few locations and wanted to share with you guys.....sounds damn good right now.......maybe he's found his calling....

    Making his pitching debut in the Arizona Summer League yesterday, converted shortstop Matt Bush threw 94-98 mph, striking out two in a scoreless, 12-pitch inning. “He's been the talk of minicamp,” said Mike Wickham, assistant to Vice President Grady Fuson

    Consitantly blowing 94-98 is nothing to shrug at, imagine what he might be like, when his arm strength gets up to speed....

    Also a really good article....further talking about the switch....some good uplifting news about him finally

    If the Pads (frick) can get anything out of Matt Bush, at least he won't be the first complete 1st pick bust in, well, forever. Excluding any player after Adrian Gonzalez (#1 overall in 2000 (Bullington (2002) and everyone after him still has a shot), every first overall pick but two has made the major leagues. Brien Taylor and Steve Chilcott were the only two not to. Not a crowd you want to be in.

    Today

    Matt Bush was on his game during his short stint today on the AZL pitching squad, he went 1 1/3, walking 1, giving up one hit, and had 4K's.

    Bush to be sat for a week with a sore shoulder..........no damage reported, just sore........guess blowing 97-98 after fielding grounders can make one sore

    And he didn't started as a pitcher so i doubt that he will see much action this year but it's good that the pick wasn't a waste.

    Yup.......as his arm strenghtens.......he should excel.......aside from his stature.....he's got all the tools to become a very good pitcher.......

    It's always a good start when you have a 95-98 mph fastball with pinpoint control and movement......So it's just a guess, but when his arm is up to par, he should be a very tough guy to face........and he's still very young

    He's back on the 7 day DL after being promoted to San Antonio.......hopefully it's just soreness
