This will help boost their offense until a real solution comes around. Better looking options in a trade for the OF than Dye but like I said they have many options for the OF as is.
Jermaine Dye was only an example.....jeez!
I was referring to both Teams needing offensive help and the fact that if only one gets it then they would have to be considered the favorite.I would prefer it to be us.
I also said that the chances of it happening now are slim.

When you 2 children are done bickering, we'll get back to talking rumors again.

Look, the Padres aren't getting Jermaine Dye at this point. Not only because of his injury status but he's not having that great of a year as it is. As far as Adam Dunn is concerned, I think as the trade deadline nears and teams refuse to give up what the Reds are asking for, I think their price may come down. We'll see as the month goes along.

Trust me dude, arguing with Reefer is about as pointless as the Yankees trying to trade ARod out of town. Although he does have his share of good points, but arguing with anyone here gets you absolutely NOWHERE, trust me.

Anyway....at this point, I think the Padres are going to wait and see how Bradley does both offensively and defensively, and luckily they have enough time to see him until they have to decide whether or not they have to make another move before the deadline. There could be a lot of talks between the Padres and other teams prior to July 31st.

Arguing isn't something I try to do.I made ONE post and then spent three days trying to "explain" it?
But I hear you.....it was exhausting....I'm sure no one enjoyed one point having to be explained over and over.
Anyway,I am afraid we will not be trading for any "middle of the order" bats afterall.Bradley needs to get,and stay, healthy for the second half.

The only reason I enjoy watching the Marlins against the Padres is watching my boy Josh Willingham. He's someone I would definetely have interest in, but I think I'm the only one.

I'm sure you're not the only one. GM's have probably called and been shot down in requesting Willingham's services.

I'll take him over him over a lot of people including Winn and Roberts Too bad Hermida never panned out the way they wanted him too. Still a lot of time.

It's painful to watch Cruz up there with runners in scoring position, because you know most of the time he's going to leave them there.

    Re: Official 2007 Trade Rumors

Good update on Milton Bradley's progress....

Batting right-handed, switch-hitter Milton Bradley was again impressive in batting practice, clearing the outfield wall in left, center and right at Petco Park, and lining shots to all fields. Bradley has done light hitting from the left side, but in his comeback from an oblique injury, he is further along from the right side.

    Re: Official 2007 Trade Rumors

I can't imagine the Padres could be the team being referenced, but it was too interesting not to throw out there.....

One major league executive said there's "a pretty good chance" Abreu will attract interest from a National League team this month, assuming the Yankees are willing to pay a significant portion of the $10 million he's still owed.
