    Re: Policing terrible umpires

Most of the time when a problem, or a perceived problem, is called for to be fixed on a message board on the internet it takes place after an actual occurrence of the "problem"

This doesn't mean that those calling for the change only want it changed because of that one occurrence, it means they're citing that one occurrence as an example.

But the overreaction from both you and Pads lead to this. And then to say it had nothing to do with that game wasjust a lie. I understand everything you just said and see that but the clear overreaction to this problem in which they have already taken steps to fix is hilarious and unnecessary.

The game was the catalyst that lead to this thread, but the proposal doesn't apply only to that one occurrence.

Perhaps that post was a bit mis-worded.

The suggestion isn't being made for the sole purposes of what went down in Clay's first start of the season. That's simply what sparked the idea to be made again, Umpires have been shitty as a whole...even you have said as such.

(Why does every thread/debate with you end up being a debate of the validity of even starting a topic instead of actually debating the topic itself?)

What I think is funny, is every time I read one of his posts I start to dislike Barry Zito a little more, the whole name/face association. He speaks, I see Barry Zito, and I think it's Zito speaking and I think he's the, as PFF put it, Dolt.

That's because we usually end up defending our reasoning for starting a thread after the validity of said thread is questioned by you.

Riiiiight. Might want to check out the first of the thread. Who stayed on topic and who didn't? Who had to defend THEMSELVES?

I made a side comment in the middle of a post talking about the general subject.

You chose to ignore the rest of the post and quote only that one sentence and incorrectly suggest that this topic was only about the Clay Hensley game.

So, who's the one who brought it off topic?

I just wasn't shocked to see you as the first response in here automatically scoffing at any idea to put a bit more accountability on umpires under the defense of "Yeah, they suck, but their sucking effects both teams!"

And, on a side note, please chill with the exclamation points. This isn't a matter of national security. If I don't agree with you on something it's not like i'm going to cost 1,000 civilians their lives.
Thus I had to defend myself and you guys kept piling it on. It goes both ways so wuit trying to pin every argument on me because it's simply not true.

Nobody has to pin every arguement on you.......you're simply at the middle, or are the root cause of every arguement......why pin something on you that you clearly own

    Re: Policing terrible umpires

Usually your "opinion" is to shoot down someone elses opinion that you don't agree with ......In this case an idea for change regarding umpires was offered, then another and you have yet to offer a solution of your own, all you do is ***** and moan about the ideas given calling them stupid......

the only stupid idea on this thread is the idea that everything is ok and nothing needs to be done about the umpires......and that stupid idea.....belongs to you
