    Brewers

Then again, who really knows? It seems that the so-called "experts" are usually wrong about their predictions anyways!!

Yeah, but unfortunately I value Tony's opinion over all the "experts" in the world. Tony knows his ball.

I have a feeling the 'turds win it this year too. Wild card shouldn't be hard to snatch though, no?

Since when is Tony Gwynn "they" ? And has he ever predicted the Dodgers over the Padres since we moved into Petco ?

I like the idea of reverse jynxing myself.....but then again.....truth be told.......the WC might suit this team better, at least judging by at this time....who knows come Sept.

Who's "they"? Before the start of last year the Dodgers were coming off a 71-91 win-loss record.

Nobody, not even Tony Gwynn, can predict the future.

His prediction carries no more weight than any one else's.

both the Padres and the Dodgers have equal capability of winning the NL West, it shames me to see Tony pick the Dodgers because of this.

Nobody was an easy favorite at the start of last season.

By "they" I really meant there were about equal predictions of the Dodgers (and Giants) of winning it last year.

Someone has to be picked. I mean, in all seriousness, i think most people would agree it will be between the Dodgers and San Diego this season, right?

I don't think anyone is gonna predict the Giants, D-Backs or the Rockies to win the NL West, and if Gwynn says the Padres, people will call him a homer, and if he said Los Angeles, they jump on his back for going against the Padres. It's a lose-lose situation in my mind but both teams are solid entering this season i think.
