$59.52 approx. not including incentives which could take payroll over $70M easily.....and we've upgraded our rotation, bullpen, and addressed 3rd base with a potential masher, swapped out a quality 2bag for another quality 2bag, and cut payroll at the sametime.....LF is still a huge questionmark, but if Sledge has shown he deserves a chance to play, and if he can bring some of what he's done in the spring to the reg. season that position will be upgraded also....and all of this for 10-15M less than last year....This leaves us in a great position with our $$$ to make a mid-season p/u should we need one to help get over the hump....
It's been a pretty impressive offseason, not sexy, but if you step back and look at it, not bad at all....would I like them to have gotten us a known impact player of course, but we're primed to have young stars at a few positions for years to come.....and a farm system that is finally starting to get recognized.....not bad at all
Dead Money -
Ryan Klesko............500 k (for declined option)
Mike Piazza.............750 k (for declined option)

* most of this was pretty much stolen from someone else......and it seems to be pretty accurate......

Again........swiped from another source..........but notice the Padres payroll is almost 70M, and with the addition of Tomko it might be even closer...
